Offering support to the business streams you will provide advice to allow projects to be delivered on time and to budget. You will liaise with clients and external parties on commercial issues such as contract agreement of variations, claims and payments. Main duties and responsibilities Build and maintain professional relationships with both internal and external parties Prepare and send enquiries to sub-contractors inviting them to tender Seek to minimize the cost of a project and enhance value for money whilst still achieving the required standards and quality Prepare and manage cash flow forecasts Contract and sub-contract management and administration as required Certification of payment applications from subcontractors Compilation of costs for compensation events and the management of change Management of Change Control including Early Warnings and Compensation Events Assist to avoid disputes with clients, suppliers and subcontractors Prepare and process formal documentation for sub-contractor payments Preparing valuations for payment applications to the client Assisting in the compilation of commercial / contractual responses to the client and subcontractors Monitor and report on expenditure on contracts compared to budgets and forecasts Give feedback to the relevant parties with regards to contract pricing and profit and loss Contribute to and attend financial and progress meetings with clients and sub-contractors as required To be considered for this position you will have at least 3-5 years previous experience within a QS or Senior QS role ideally within an engineering or construction environment, you will be Degree level qualified or be a holder of a professional qualification accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent experience. The ideal candidate will be able to interpret and understand contract documents, scopes of works and contract drawings and Skilled in financial cost control, value recovery and change management. This is a day-shift opportunity, ideal for a proactive Maintenance Engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in delivering high standards of plant reliability, safety and continuous improvement. The Role Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in providing engineering support to the production function, ensuring equipment performance, minimising downtime and supporting planned maintenance activities. You will be responsible for delivering planned, preventative and reactive maintenance, while contributing to fault finding, root cause analysis and ongoing process improvements across site. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned, preventative and corrective maintenance activities in line with site maintenance systems Investigate equipment failures, complete root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions Support production and quality teams with technical and process-related issues Accurately complete all maintenance documentation and shift records Provide detailed breakdown reporting to support the planned maintenance programme Ensure all work is carried out in full compliance with health, safety and site standards Contribute positively to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production About You You will be a time-served Maintenance Engineer with a practical, hands-on approach and a strong commitment to safety and reliability. We are currently looking for a First Article Inspector for a 6 month contract based in Brockworth, Gloucester. Key Responsibilities: Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) : Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of propeller assemblies and components using precision measurement tools. Verify compliance with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and customer requirements. Responsibilities/Requirements: Previous experience in FAIR review / sign-off Working knowledge of AS9102 Specification Relative commodity experience (mechanical is priority) Inspection techniques Reading drawings writing Root Cause and Corrective Action Request Understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001 and AS9102 Standards Documentation and Reporting : Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports in accordance with AS9102 FAI documentation. Ensure proper traceability of materials and components. Identify, document & address non-conformances, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams. Logging daily hours and activities for weekly submission. Raise and monitor non-conformances in relation to FAI, may contribute to root cause analysis and corrective action. Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with quality peers, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to address quality concerns. Support daily management of FAI progress, providing escalation where necessary to meet production deliverables. Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities to improve FAI processes & any concerns regarding compliance to FAI requirements. Proficient in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Attention to Detail : Strong ability to identify defects and non-conformances. Meticulous documentation and record-keeping skills.
