Working pattern Tuesday -Saturday Specific Skills The job requires a basic knowledge of the four main product elements (Engines, Hydraulics, Powertrain, and Vehicle Electrics/Electronics) relating to servicing and repair of heavy mobile plant (or similar e.g Heavy Goods Vehicle) Accountability To attend customer locations as advised by controller, to carry out preventive maintenance servicing. To liaise with service controller and customer both at the outset and as work progresses. To ensure that all work is carried out to high standards and that equipment is safe before handing back to customer. Ensure equipment is serviced in line with manufacturers recommendations and that all associated paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner including recording customer signatures. Take proper care of company vehicle and equipment. Education and Experience Either direct experience (around 3 years) or working in a related engineering function, e.g. car mechanic, HGV fitter, former REME or experience on military vehicles such as recovery mechanic or a formal apprenticeship qualification that includes at least C&G level 1, formal training in health & Safety desirable but not essential as further training will be given.
