We are seeking an energetic, curious, and agile Legal Counsel to report directly to the VP, General Counsel. This role is broader than a contracts position: it is a true in house counsel role for someone who wants to be a trusted advisor, a commercial partner, and an extra set of legal hands across the function. You will support commercial contracting and project execution, while also contributing to M&A and integration activity, corporate matters, employment law, IP protection and licensing, claims and disputes, compliance, and other strategic legal work across Chemelex's operations in EMEAI, Asia and North America. The right candidate will enjoy variety, ownership, and direct exposure to senior leaders in a fast moving industrial and technology environment. You will help the business close deals efficiently, manager risk pragmatically, and build scalable legal processes for a growing global organization. Experience supporting EPC, industrial, oil and gas, data center, or complex project environments is a strong plus. WHAT YOU WILL DO Act as a practical legal advisor to business leaders across EMEAI, helping them identify risk, make informed decisions, and move commercial and strategic priorities forward. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, subcontractor, procurement, and project related agreements. Partner with Sales, Procurement, Estimating, Proposals, Finance, Project Management, HR, and Operations to support proposals, contract negotiations, project execution, and risk management. Support M&A activity, including due diligence, transaction workstreams, document review, disclosure schedules, post closing integration, legal entity alignment, and related strategic initiatives. Assist with corporate matters, including governance, entity management, restructurings, internal approvals, policies, board or sponsor related requests, and other matters arising in a private equity backed portfolio company environment. Support IP matters, including IP ownership and licensing issues in commercial agreements, R&D and technology collaborations, invention disclosures, patent and trademark portfolio coordination, brand protection, and related diligence or integration work. Provide pragmatic support on employment and workplace matters in partnership with HR and external counsel, including employee relations, policy interpretation, investigations, and regional employment law issues. Support the management and resolution of customer claims, warranty issues, disputes, liens, financial guarantees, insurance certificates, bonds, letters of credit, and other contentious or risk related matters. Coordinate with external counsel across multiple jurisdictions, managing scope, budget, and practical advice when specialist support is required. Help develop and improve legal templates, playbooks, processes, training, and best practices so the legal function can scale with the business. Collaborate with the Global Legal & Compliance Team on cross functional initiatives, compliance matters, and other projects within your area of responsibility. YOU ARE A true business partner who enjoys being close to the action and translating legal advice into clear, practical guidance Energized by variety - equally comfortable reviewing a contract, supporting a transaction, advising HR, managing a dispute, or helping build a better process. A skilled negotiator who can balance legal risk with commercial objectives and communicate clearly with both internal and external stakeholders. Curious, agile, and solutions oriented, with the judgment to know when to be flexible and when to hold the line. Collaborative by nature, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust across cultures, functions, and jurisdictions. Meticulous when details matter, but pragmatic enough to focus on what is material. Aligned with Chemelex values: experts with empathy, an explorer mindset, an example for others, and exceptional impact. YOU HAVE Qualification as a lawyer in a civil or common law jurisdiction, with strong academic credentials and the ability to provide practical legal counsel in a business setting. Approximately 4+ years of relevant legal experience, ideally including in house experience or secondment exposure in a multinational, industrial, manufacturing, EPC, oil and gas, technology, infrastructure, or private equity backed portfolio company environment. Law firm training or prior private practice experience, ideally with exposure to commercial contracts, corporate transactions, M&A, employment, IP, or other broad corporate legal matters, is strongly preferred. Strong commercial contracts experience, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements and advising on legal and business risk. Exposure to M&A, integration, corporate governance, restructurings, entity management, or other corporate legal matters; direct deal experience is a strong plus. Exposure to IP matters is helpful, including technology development, R&D agreements, licensing, patent or trademark portfolio management, brand protection, or IP ownership issues. Working knowledge of employment law matters and the ability to partner effectively with HR and external counsel across jurisdictions. Experience with disputes, claims, contract administration, lien law compliance, financial guarantees, insurance, bonds, or letters of credit is helpful. Excellent communication, negotiation, judgment, and relationship building skills. English language fluency is required; German, Spanish, French, or other regional language fluency is helpful. Willingness to travel occasionally across the region and internationally. At Chemelex: We protect places of progress through electric excellence. Apache Associates are currently working with an innovative SaaS organisation that is investing heavily in AI across its products. We're looking for an AI Software Engineer with strong C# .NET experience to join the team and help turn emerging AI capabilities into genuine, production-ready product features. This is an ideal opportunity for a developer who combines strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on LLM experience and enjoys working in an environment where things move quickly. You'll be taking AI concepts from initial idea and experimentation through to fully integrated, evaluated features within established .NET products. The Role You'll be responsible for building AI-powered capabilities across the product portfolio, working with LLMs, prompt engineering, context design and structured outputs , while ensuring everything you build is robust enough for production. You'll be expected to prototype quickly, but equally importantly, understand where engineering discipline is essential. That means thinking about accuracy, reliability, latency, cost, monitoring, fallbacks and evaluation rather than simply getting an AI feature to work in a demo. You'll work closely with existing engineering teams, Product Managers, Product Owners and subject matter experts to understand the business problem before deciding on the technical solution. Key Responsibilities Design and build prompts, context strategies and LLM integrations for real-world product features. Develop primarily in C# .NET , integrating AI capabilities into established codebases. Build production-grade AI services with appropriate error handling, fallbacks, monitoring and logging. Prototype new ideas quickly and turn successful experiments into robust production features. Develop structured approaches to evaluating LLM outputs , using real business scenarios and measurable results. Work with LLM APIs across different providers and make pragmatic decisions around quality, cost and latency. Use AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor or equivalent as part of your day-to-day development. Work alongside existing engineering teams to ensure your solutions fit established coding standards, architecture and deployment pipelines. Keep pace with the rapidly changing AI ecosystem and share new approaches and learning with colleagues. Work with Product and subject matter experts to understand the underlying business problem rather than simply responding to a technical requirement. Ensure AI features are developed with appropriate consideration for accuracy, safety and data handling . Skills and Experience Required You'll need to be a strong software engineer first and foremost, with genuine commercial experience building with AI. We're particularly interested in people who can demonstrate: Strong commercial C# .NET development experience , ideally working within established and potentially long-lived codebases. Hands-on experience building applications using Large Language Models , beyond tutorials or experimentation. Strong knowledge of prompt engineering, context engineering and structured outputs . Experience taking ideas from concept through to working software quickly. Experience evaluating or testing LLM outputs using structured approaches, datasets or real-world business scenarios. Daily experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor or similar . A pragmatic approach to software engineering - knowing when to move quickly and when production quality cannot be compromised. The ability to understand and articulate the business problem behind the technology you're building. It would be advantageous if you also have experience with: RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) Agentic workflows and tool use Vector databases/search and embeddings LLM APIs from multiple providers AI evaluation frameworks and automated quality pipelines Modernising or extending long-established software platforms SaaS environments Distributive trades, rental, retail, automotive aftermarket or garage management This isn't a role where you'll spend months working on theoretical AI projects that never reach customers. You'll have the opportunity to build, ship and see your work used in real products . The expectation is that successful ideas can move from concept to production in weeks, while still meeting the standards expected of business-critical software. You'll also have the opportunity to influence how AI is adopted across the wider engineering organisation, sharing your knowledge and helping other developers understand what genuinely works. Within your first six months, you'll ideally have: Shipped an AI capability into an established product with meaningful evaluation behind it. Taken an AI idea from concept to customers within weeks rather than quarters. Used evaluation data to influence product or technical decisions - including being prepared to stop something that simply isn't good enough. Introduced new AI development techniques that other engineers have adopted. Demonstrated a clear understanding of the commercial problem you're solving, not just the technology you're using. If you're a C# .NET developer who is already building with LLMs and wants to work somewhere that is genuinely putting AI into production, we'd be very interested in hearing from you. Apply now or contact Apache Associates for a confidential discussion.

Automation Engineer Aberystwyth Circa £55,000 DOE Yolk Recruitment is exclusively representing an established food manufacturer in the search for an Automation Engineer to strengthen its site capability. This is a rare opportunity for an engineer with SCADA, controls, or industrial automation expertise to take ownership of fault-finding and system reliability within a high-volume production environment. The vacancy is planned around a weekday afternoon shift, extending engineering automation support across a greater portion of the operating day while avoiding a traditional rotating shift pattern. What You'll Do: Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot site SCADA and industrial automation systems Respond to controls failures, system interruptions, and automation-related production issues Identify the root causes of faults and restore equipment to safe operation as efficiently as possible Maintain existing controls infrastructure rather than focusing primarily on developing entirely new systems Support PLC, drive, inverter, sensor, and wider control-system fault-finding, according to your experience Provide hands-on electrical and mechanical engineering support when production machinery requires attention Complete planned preventive maintenance alongside automation-focused responsibilities Work closely with production teams and the wider engineering department to improve reliability and reduce downtime Share knowledge with colleagues and learn from a highly experienced on-site SCADA specialist Maintain accurate records of faults, repairs, and scheduled work through the site maintenance system Operate in accordance with stringent health, safety, hygiene, and food manufacturing standards What You'll Bring: Experience working with SCADA, PLC-controlled machinery, or industrial automation systems Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills within a live production or process environment The ability to investigate existing code, controls, and system parameters when equipment stops or behaves unexpectedly A practical engineering background and the willingness to work directly on machinery when required Electrical engineering knowledge, ideally supported by a relevant qualification or apprenticeship Experience within food, beverage, FMCG, pharmaceutical, process manufacturing or another regulated environment would be advantageous A calm, logical and methodical approach to complex technical issues Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers, operators, and production colleagues A genuine interest in developing broader controls, electrical and maintenance expertise Why You Should Apply: Automation engineers are often expected to choose between highly specialised controls work and general maintenance. This role offers a balance of both. You will be the automation-focused member of the team, concentrating on SCADA and control's reliability while remaining close to the machinery and production process. The planned hours are based around a Monday-to-Friday afternoon shift. Full time
Automation Engineer Aberystwyth Circa £55,000 DOE Yolk Recruitment is exclusively representing an established food manufacturer in the search for an Automation Engineer to strengthen its site capability. The precise working pattern will be agreed around site coverage requirements, with the qualification call discussing an approximate afternoon start and finish around midnight rather than a permanent overnight pattern. Other engineers remain on site until 10:00pm, and the facility continues operating with wider production staffing beyond that point.
