We are seeking a Crane Technician to join our team at our distribution Centre in Corby. As a Crane Technician you will be responsible for management of all site Mechanical Handling Equipment including Cranes and Forklift trucks, working on a two shift basis. This shift pattern will rotate weekly, you'll be required to work 6:30am-2pm and 2pm-9:30pm.Shift allowance is 15% on top of basic salary. What you will do to be successful in this role: Quick incident response to Operations related issues; effecting repairs or making adjustments to ensure the maximum uptime, safety and operating efficiency of the equipment. Set priorities for attending to problems in more than one location. Liaising with operators and managers as required. Taking ownership of workshop/office activates to support the above, including: spares availability, improvement of procedures, sourcing items, etc. Locating, managing and controlling spares usage, including contacting suppliers for prices etc. Identification of opportunities, development of proposals, and implementation of solutions that deliver tangible improvements to operations and the facilities departments. Management of contractors, suppliers and internal resource, including allocation of work, preparation of required specifications and ensuring the contractor delivers to the agreed specification. Ensuring all work adheres to Health & Safety guidelines, policies, legislation and requirements. Appropriate, quality, communications to all relevant parties. Liaise closely with the Operations, Facilities and Projects teams.
