Role Purpose: This position is responsible for developing, coordinating, overseeing, and delivering a Supply Chain compliance training plan in order to ensure that regulatory requirements are met. Key Accountabilities Performance Measures Collate, complete and file training paperwork to create an accurate audit trail Ease and speed of document retrieval Provide direction and guidance to Warehouse Trainers on what's required on the site training plan and skills matrix, regularly reviewing progress and attainment against the plan Delivery of the site training plan and closure of skills gaps Plan, organise and deliver training in specific areas of legal compliance and audit to the agreed standards. Undertake site based MHE training - Deliver site MWEP (3a) & Boom lift (3b) training. Compliance with legislative standards Audit feedback and results Issue (site) staff with site Authority to operate certification / In house licence. Audit feedback and results Support the preparation and hosting of customer audits, visits, external audits and validation activity. Successful customer visits External and internal audit standards maintained Act as a custodian of training information in supply chain, ensuring a robust recording system is in place so that training files and skills matrices are accurate, utilising the data and insight to inform and build a robust annual training plan Robust training recording system in place Accuracy of training records Audit compliance Robust training plan in place Attainment of training plan Validate and sign off training records for supply chain Training record audit Collect and collate relevant data and format concisely and appropriately to make it presentable to supply chain management Timeliness and accuracy of published data / reports Scales and Scope 1 factory site or a region for depots - 150 - 2000 colleagues Decision Making Activity Time Horizons Build of annual compliance training plan and budget Sourcing external training providers Underpin the work of the site planning or logistics team Annually and quarterly As required Monthly and as required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience RTITB Accredited ITSSAR Accredited Forklift Instructor (desirable) Proficient in MHE use (min of 12 months experience) A working knowledge of production and manufacturing processes Proficient in the use of computer systems such as Word, Excel, Email, PowerPoint Ability to manage your own workload Excellent attention to detail and passion for quality Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and targets Experience working with learning management systems and learning technology platforms Experience working with line managers and supporting their learning Great facilitation and training delivery skills and experience Train the Trainer or equivalent These may be trained or developed. We are seeking a Crane Technician to join our team at our distribution Centre in Corby. As a Crane Technician you will be responsible for management of all site Mechanical Handling Equipment including Cranes and Forklift trucks, working on a two shift basis. This shift pattern will rotate weekly, you'll be required to work 6:30am-2pm and 2pm-9:30pm.Shift allowance is 15% on top of basic salary. What you will do to be successful in this role: Quick incident response to Operations related issues; effecting repairs or making adjustments to ensure the maximum uptime, safety and operating efficiency of the equipment. Set priorities for attending to problems in more than one location. Liaising with operators and managers as required. Taking ownership of workshop/office activates to support the above, including: spares availability, improvement of procedures, sourcing items, etc. Locating, managing and controlling spares usage, including contacting suppliers for prices etc. Identification of opportunities, development of proposals, and implementation of solutions that deliver tangible improvements to operations and the facilities departments. Management of contractors, suppliers and internal resource, including allocation of work, preparation of required specifications and ensuring the contractor delivers to the agreed specification. Ensuring all work adheres to Health & Safety guidelines, policies, legislation and requirements. Appropriate, quality, communications to all relevant parties. Liaise closely with the Operations, Facilities and Projects teams. Responsibility for the coaching, training, mentoring and sharing of experience, and best practice, to others within the Facilities department. Facilities/operations/contractor training responsibility, as required, for Sweeper, Scrubber, Tractor and attachments, Crane evacuation training, harness training, "man-down" rescue (ITTSAR accredited MHE trainer and examiner preferred) Site PICOLO under LOLER. Responsibility for site lifting plans and out of ordinary LOLER works. Manage insurance thorough examinations under LOLER and ownership of any remedial works required Ownership of the warehouse racking inspections process and uprising repairs Large-scale involvement on any project work concerning (including purchase of) new MHE equipment Provide effective liaison with insurance inspectors with respect to their onsite miscellaneous works What you will have to be successful in this role: A recognised trade apprenticeship or equivalent qualification would be a great advantage Forklift truck and Crane maintenance experience Ability to safely work at height Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office and Planned Preventative Maintenance Systems. Electrical and/or Control experience in a logistics or manufacturing environment. Training and Experience in the operation, fault-finding and repair to; basic electronics, industrial electrical applications, pneumatics and hydraulics, motor/gear boxes, drives, conveyors, tools, forklift trucks and associated equipment. Proven track record of fault finding. Hands-on technical experience and expertise. Self-Managing person with the ability to plan and manage priorities effectively. Excellent communication skills to all levels of the business. Excellent data analysis and problem solving skills for the evaluation of logistics and technical issues. Ability to build relationships across cultures and across functions. Demonstrable influencing skills. Ability to challenge and generate own ideas in a team environment.
