You'd be joining a team of over 170 passionate, ambitious people, across Europe and the USA, building a category-leading fintech product and all united by that same mission The Opportunity: We are looking for a solicitor qualified in England and Wales to join us as in-house Legal Counsel to support the Global Head of Legal in managing the legal risks the business faces. The role will involve commercial legal advisory services across our entire UK business, with an emphasis on commercial contracts, regulation andprivacy. There will also likely be opportunities to work on matters in the other jurisdictions. What will you be doing? General commercial legal work including providing advice on privacy related matters Taking the lead on the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts Managing and maintaining the app and website terms of use and privacy notices etc Advising on new product launches from a legal and privacy perspective Developing and maintaining effective contract processes, contract management and precedent agreements and all relevant user documentation What experience might you have? Have demonstrable post qualification experience gained in, or advising, a high-growth technology firm Have experience of drafting and negotiating commercial contracts (particularly client, partnership and supplier contracts) and drafting and maintaining website and app terms Have experience of privacy related issues Have experience of regulation, including lending and payments, and a strong grasp of commercial matters Are able to explain legal issues in clear terms that are easily understood The ability to establish rapport easily both internally and externally and have excellent communication skills have low ego and are willing to do whatever tasks are needed to help make the Legal Team specifically, and Wagestream generally, a global success.
