Typical hours as a Warehouse Operative: Day shift: 06:00am until 18:00pm Night shift: 18:00pm until 06:00am We are looking for weekends and 4 on 4 off operatives. We also potentially have 4 on 4 off days and nights available with an immediate start. All shifts are available! 16 - 17yr olds: You will be working between 6am to 6pm, working either 4, 6 or 8hr shifts only, 40hrs per week - no more than 5 days a week (flexibility with shifts will be considered). Additional rest breaks if required. We are currently looking for a Factory Labourer/Operative to work in a busy company in Westerhope, Newcastle. Duties include Wrap door parts in preparation for despatch . Construct wood pallets as per instruction. Move materials in accordance with safe manual handling standards Use a Counterbalance FLT Measuring and cutting metals for door construction Assist Welders Paint and prep plates, guides, etc Complete basic assembly tasks. Assembly and dismantling of racking Keeping site tidy and safe Loading, lifting and tidy up of stores area General tidy up of metal products both in yard and factory site General labouring tasks detailed by the Production Controller. Sorting and packing goods in a factory yard Working both inside and outside Helping as a floater where and when required in the site within manufacturing areas The person Must be happy working inside and outside in a factory yard Have Labouring experience in a similar environment - please note that this is a factory environment and not a construction site Have previous measuring and cutting experience in particular with metals Be able to lift and load Hold a Counterbalance Forklift licence Be able to work unsupervised Be able to work on own initiative This role will be permanent for the right person
