About the Position: We are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to join a Secondary school in Cardiff. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing support to students with BESD, supporting This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 08:30 am to 3:30 pm, with the option for part-time hours. Roles and Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one support to students with BESD, assisting them in overcoming behavioural challenges and achieving academic success. Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions to promote positive outcomes for students. Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create individualised education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected. Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support. Requirements: Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in supporting students with BESD. Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies. Empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students facing behavioural challenges. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and school environments. Desirable: Experience working in both Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings and mainstream settings.
