Head of AI Solutions, COO Technology - MD (C16) page is loaded Head of AI Solutions, COO Technology - MD (C16)Applylocations: London United Kingdomposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: Citi's COO Technology organization is building one of the most consequential AI platforms in global financial services - and this is the role that leads it.The Head of AI Solutions is a newly created, executive-level position with a clear mandate: architect a unified AI strategy, build a world-class engineering team, and deliver production-grade AI at scale across the operational nerve center of a global bank. This is not a coordination or advisory role. It is a builder's role - one with the budget, the mandate, and the organizational reach to make it real. You will own the AI strategy and delivery capability across a $200M+ technology portfolio spanning some of the most operationally complex domains in banking: KYC, fraud detection, wholesale lending operations, global reconciliations, cash management, payments control, non-financial regulatory reporting, payroll, and international operations . The scale is significant, the problems are highly complex at this stage, and the impact is direct - the solutions you build will influence how trillions of dollars in transactions flow daily, how regulatory risk is managed, and how Citi's operational infrastructure evolves over the next decade.Unlike a role at a pure-play technology company, you will be solving AI challenges where failure has regulatory and systemic consequence - and where success reshapes the economics and resilience of critical global operations. The ambiguity is real, the stakes are high, and the opportunity for lasting impact is unmatched. This role reports directly to the Head of COO Technology. Citi's COO Technology organization is building one of the most consequential AI platforms in global financial services - and this is the role that leads it. The Head of AI Solutions is a newly created, executive-level position with a clear mandate: architect a unified AI strategy, build a world class engineering team, and deliver production grade AI at scale across the operational nerve center of a global bank. This is not a coordination or advisory role. It is a builder's role - one with the budget, the mandate, and the organizational reach to make it real. You will own the AI strategy and delivery capability across a $200M+ technology portfolio spanning some of the most operationally complex domains in banking: KYC, fraud detection, wholesale lending operations, global reconciliations, cash management, payments control, non financial regulatory reporting, payroll, and international operations. The scale is significant, the problems are unsolved at this level of complexity, and the impact is direct - the solutions you build will influence how trillions of dollars in transactions flow daily, how regulatory risk is managed, and how Citi's operational infrastructure evolves over the next decade. Unlike a role at a pure play technology company, you will be solving AI challenges where failure has regulatory and systemic consequence - and where success reshapes the economics and resilience of critical global operations. The ambiguity is real, the stakes are high, and the opportunity for lasting impact is unmatched. This role reports directly to the Head of COO Technology. Responsibilities: AI Strategy & Platform Architecture: Define and own the multi year AI strategy for the COO Technology portfolio; translate business intent into a concrete, milestone driven execution roadmap with measurable outcomes Develop architecture blueprints and end to end systems design for Generative AI and agentic workflows across diverse operational domains Build the shared AI platform - reusable models, tooling, guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and accelerators - that reduces duplication, lowers cost, and enables faster adoption across COO Establish and enforce engineering standards, architectural guardrails, and development patterns across all AI initiatives Define a rigorous total cost of ownership model for developing, deploying, and sustaining AI in production Identify and evaluate emerging GenAI technologies, foundation models, and agent frameworks - and make deliberate, defensible decisions on where to build, buy, or partner Production AI Delivery at Enterprise Scale Lead end to end delivery of AI solutions across high complexity, regulated operational environments - from architecture through production deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement Drive the agentic product development lifecycle: runtime harness design, evaluation frameworks, human in the loop workflows, feedback loops, and production readiness criteria Manage cross functional delivery spanning engineering, product, data, architecture, cyber, risk & compliance, and operations Proactively identify and resolve dependencies, critical path risks, and systemic delivery blockers; ensure on time, on budget execution Ensure all AI solutions meet production grade standards: stability, scalability, auditability, explainability, and regulatory compliance Executive Partnership & AI Governance Serve as the senior AI executive point of contact for COO function leads - partnering directly with the Heads of Core Operations Technology, Shared Services Technology, and Controls Technology Lead AI governance forums and Architecture Review Boards; establish clear decision rights and review cadences across the portfolio Translate complex technical realities into clear, compelling narratives for senior non technical audiences - including COO, CIO, and regulatory stakeholders Develop executive level communications - steering committee materials, portfolio dashboards, and milestone tracking - that improve decision velocity and reduce execution risk Ensure full adherence to Citi's internal policies, risk and control frameworks, model risk management (MRM) standards, and applicable regulatory requirements Building the AI Engineering Organization Build, structure, and lead a high performing AI engineering function aligned to COO's operational priorities - including team topology, operating model, and career pathways Foster a culture of technical excellence, intellectual curiosity, and pragmatic innovation: engineers who ship production solutions, not prototypes Own and manage the AI technology portfolio budget ( $200M), driving disciplined funding allocation, financial transparency, and cost to serve accountability Lead productivity and efficiency programs with measurable targets across cycle time, quality, throughput, and engineering leverage Define and optimize vendor and partner strategy, including strategic AI platform partnerships (e.g., Google, Anthropic), third party tooling, and outsourced delivery models Qualifications: Technological 15+ years of experience in Technology - Required Generative AI & LLM Engineering: Deep, hands on expertise in large language models including model selection, fine tuning, prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), vector database design, and evaluation methodologies. You understand how models behave in production, not just in demos. Agentic Systems Design: Proven experience designing and deploying multi agent architectures and orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI); tool use patterns, human in the loop workflows, and agentic safety at enterprise scale. AI/ML Engineering & MLOps: Full AI/ML lifecycle ownership: training pipelines, model deployment, versioning, monitoring, drift detection, observability (e.g., Weights & Biases, Arize), and lifecycle management using platforms such as MLflow, Vertex AI, or SageMaker. Cloud AI Platforms: Demonstrated deployment of AI workloads on AWS, GCP, and/or Azure including managed ML services, scalable inference infrastructure, and vector stores. Programming & Frameworks: Strong Python proficiency; working knowledge of PyTorch or TensorFlow; applied experience with AI application frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalents). Enterprise AI Architecture: Designing AI systems for regulated production environments: data security, model explainability, audit logging, access controls, and integration with legacy systems. Leadership & Delivery - Required 15+ years in technology, with a proven record of leading large scale engineering organizations through build out and transformation. 10+ years of management experience, including direct leadership of senior engineers and architects, and management of managers across global teams. Demonstrated delivery of enterprise AI solutions with realized measurable business outcomes - not just successful pilots or proofs of concept. Experience managing large, complex technology budgets ($50M+) with accountability for financial transparency and ROI. Track record of operating effectively in matrixed, cross functional organizations at the intersection of technology and operations. Domain & Contextual Knowledge - Strongly Preferred Deep familiarity with financial services operations and the regulatory landscape - particularly KYC/AML, fraud, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting. Strong understanding of model risk management (MRM) and what it takes to move AI from development to production under regulatory scrutiny. Experience engaging with strategic technology partners (cloud providers, AI platform companies) at an executive level. Leadership Profile You build platforms, not point solutions - you instinctively seek the reusable, the shared, the scalable. You are equally credible in a deep technical architecture review and a board level strategy discussion. You attract, develop, and retain strong technical talent - engineers want to work for you because they grow. You operate with clarity and urgency in ambiguous environments; complexity energizes rather than paralyzes you. You communicate with precision - you can make a complex AI architecture concept land with a CRO, a COO, and a principal engineer, and you do it differently for each. Education: Bachelors required; Master's in CS, AI/ML, or related field preferred. What success looks like: Establish the AI engineering team and operating model - hire and structure a high performing team with clear roles, responsibilities, and a strong culture. Deliver 3+ production grade agentic AI systems across priority COO domains, with measurable operational impact (cost, speed, quality, or risk reduction). Launch the shared AI platform - reusable RAG infrastructure, evaluation frameworks, and common tooling adopted across COO Technology. Define and align the multi year AI roadmap with COO function leads and the Head of COO Technology, with clear prioritization, milestones, and funding allocation. Establish AI governance - Architecture Review Boards, model risk processes, and compliance frameworks embedded in the delivery lifecycle. About Mimecast Mimecast is a leading cybersecurity company protecting people, data, and communications from today's most sophisticated threats. With over 42,000 customers worldwide and 18 billion security events analysed daily, we pioneer Human Risk Management - combining threat detection, awareness training, and insider risk management into a platform built around the human element of cybersecurity. About the role The Director, Program and Delivery Management leads the team responsible for how Mimecast's Product and R&D organisation plans, executes, and delivers - from the first articulation of a program's goals through to customer impact. You will own the discipline of programme and delivery management across the organisation: setting the standards, systems, and operating model that enable teams to commit with confidence and deliver with consistency. What you'll do Team Leadership & Capability Development Lead, develop and retain a team of Programme and Delivery Managers, each embedded as a senior partner to Product and R&D leadership across the portfolio. Set the standard for planning ownership, delivery partnership, systemic problem solving, coach your team to perform consistently at that level, and monitor team health - pace, process overhead, retention risk - addressing emerging issues before they affect delivery or people. Planning System & Portfolio Oversight Partner with senior leadership to shape and evolve the planning system - the frameworks, cadences and standards that govern how work is prioritised, resourced, sequenced and committed to across the portfolio. Maintain a portfolio level view of commitments, capacity and delivery confidence, act as the escalation point for cross portfolio dependencies, trade offs and resourcing conflicts - bringing recommended solutions, not just problem statements. Delivery Rhythm & Execution Governance Work with leadership to define and maintain the delivery operating rhythm - the cadences, forums and reporting structures that keep execution visible without adding unnecessary overhead. Ensure your team runs consistent programme reviews, proactively manages risk and dependencies, and drives blockers to resolution before they affect commitments. AI Integration & Program Management Innovation Define the AI strategy for programme and delivery management - identifying where AI tools can meaningfully improve how programmes are planned, tracked and delivered - and translate that into an actionable roadmap. Keep the team current with evolving AI tools, foster shared learning and experimentation, and proactively identify opportunities to leverage AI within the teams and programmes you support to reduce manual overhead and increase velocity. Metrics, Velocity & Reporting Own the metrics strategy - defining what gets measured, how, and how delivery flow data drives decisions at every level. Build and maintain executive facing reporting that gives leadership a clear, honest view of portfolio health: what is on track, what is at risk, and what requires a decision. Pattern Recognition & Systemic Improvement Look across the portfolio to identify patterns of friction, misalignment and inefficiency - and drive improvement programmes that address root causes, not symptoms. Lead the evolution of shared delivery practices - planning standards, estimation norms, definitions of done - making what works repeatable and retiring what does not. What you'll bring 7+ years in Technical Programme Management, Delivery Management or Engineering Programme Management, including 4+ years leading a team of programme managers within a multi team Product and R&D organisation. Track record of designing and owning planning and delivery systems at scale - accountable for the quality and reliability of the output. Executive presence and communication skills - able to influence without authority across functions and levels. Proven ability to drive change in complex, matrixed organisations - building alignment around new ways of working. Strategic clarity combined with operational depth - knowing when to see across a portfolio and when to dive into detail. Analytical capability to build a metrics framework, interpret delivery flow data and construct a clear narrative that drives leadership decisions. Fluency in agile delivery practices and hands on experience with delivery tooling (e.g. Jira, Confluence) and leading programmes across multiple geographies and time zones. Genuine interest in how AI tools are reshaping programme and delivery management, and a drive to lead adoption where it creates measurable value for the team. High ownership and a team first mindset - bringing problems with proposed solutions, developing others to do the same and measuring success by what the team achieves. Why Mimecast The programme and delivery management function at Mimecast has a strong foundation built by a team with deep experience and genuine commitment to how this organisation delivers. This role is an opportunity to build on that foundation, raise the bar on what's already working, bring new thinking to what can be better and shape what the function becomes as Mimecast scales. You will be visible at every level of the company and have the chance to lead meaningful work, operate with real influence and leave a mark on how a world class cybersecurity company runs. Base salary range: £104,000 - £156,000 base + benefits. The position may also be eligible for incentive plans and other related benefits. Mimecast is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. We are committed to building an inclusive, diverse community that reflects the world we serve.

LocationSunderland, United Kingdom# Customer Success Manager at OneClickComplyLocationSunderland, United KingdomSalary£32500 - £60000 /yearJob TypeFull-timeDate PostedApril 30th, 2026Apply NowOneClickComply is changing how businesses think about cybersecurity compliance. We've built a platform that automates the hard parts - technical control implementation, policy generation, continuous monitoring, and real-time audit evidence - so that achieving certifications like ISO 27001, SOC 2, Cyber Essentials, and CIS v8 takes weeks instead of months. We work with a growing network of audit and enablement partners and serve clients across every industry who need to prove they take security seriously. We're a small, fast-moving team where your ideas don't get lost in layers of hierarchy. If you've ever been frustrated by how unnecessarily painful compliance can be, you'll understand exactly why we exist. The Opportunity This role puts you right at the heart of the client experience. You'll own the post-sale relationship across every channel - live chat, phone, video calls, and email - making sure every customer gets real, measurable value from our platform and feels genuinely supported from their very first onboarding call through to renewal and beyond. You'll be the person our clients turn to when they need help navigating the platform, understanding where they are on their compliance journey, or figuring out what comes next. When they need deeper technical guidance, you'll bring in our Security Compliance Specialists. When they're ready for penetration testing or a formal audit, you'll make the introductions to the right enablement partners. You're the thread that ties the whole experience together. This isn't a passive support role. You'll have genuine influence over how we onboard, engage, and grow our client base - and over the direction of the customer success function as we scale. There's also a real financial incentive to grow accounts: with a base salary of £32,500 plus uncapped commission on upsells, your OTE will be in the region of £60,000. What You'll Be Doing Owning the client relationship across every touchpoint. You'll manage a portfolio of B2B accounts, providing responsive, high-quality support via live chat, telephone, email, and scheduled video calls. You'll be the consistent, trusted point of contact that clients know they can rely on - whether it's a quick question on chat or a detailed walkthrough over the phone. Running onboarding that sets clients up for success . You'll lead onboarding calls and implementation sessions for every new client, walking them through platform configuration, control setup, dashboards, and integrations. You'll build and refine onboarding playbooks so that every client's first experience is smooth, structured, and confidence-building. Working hand in hand with our Security Compliance Specialists . You'll be the first point of contact for clients, triaging their needs and bringing in our Compliance Advisory team when deeper technical or framework-specific expertise is required. You'll stay close to those conversations so you always understand where each client is on their journey and can follow up effectively. Connecting clients with the right enablement partners . When clients are ready for penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, formal audits, or other specialist services, you'll make warm introductions to our network of trusted enablement partners - including penetration testers, auditors, and certification bodies. You'll coordinate scheduling, manage expectations on both sides, and make sure the handoff is seamless. Delivering webinars and group enablement . You'll plan and host regular webinars covering platform features, compliance best practices, framework updates, and tips for getting the most from OneClickComply. These sessions will help scale your impact beyond one-to-one interactions and position us as a trusted voice in the compliance space. Conducting regular check-ins and business reviews . You'll run quarterly business reviews with key accounts, track adoption metrics and health scores, and make sure every client has a clear path to their compliance goals. You'll stay ahead of churn risk by spotting disengagement early and acting on it. Driving upsell and expansion revenue . You'll identify opportunities to expand accounts - whether that's additional frameworks, more seats, or premium services - and you'll be rewarded for it. Commission on successful upsells forms a meaningful part of your compensation, so the better your clients do, the better you do. Being the voice of the customer internally . You'll work closely with product, engineering, and sales to relay what clients are asking for, where they're getting stuck, and what would make the biggest difference to their experience. Your insights will directly shape the roadmap. Writing support articles and client-facing content . You'll build out our knowledge base by writing clear, practical support articles, how-to guides, and FAQs that help clients self-serve and get to value faster. You'll also produce walkthrough videos, best-practice materials, and webinar follow-up content - reducing inbound support volume and giving every client the resources to succeed on their own terms. What We're Looking For You'll have at least 2 years of experience in a customer success, account management, or client-facing role within a B2B SaaS environment. This is a firm requirement - we need someone who already understands the rhythms of SaaS onboarding, adoption, renewal cycles, and the metrics that matter. You're confident and personable on the phone and on camera. Whether it's a support article, a follow-up email, or a webinar script, you can take something complex and make it clear and practical without dumbing it down. You're comfortable having strategic conversations with senior stakeholders and equally happy rolling up your sleeves for a hands-on platform walkthrough with an end user. You've got a track record of identifying and closing upsell or expansion opportunities, and you're motivated by a compensation model that rewards you for growing accounts.Experience in cybersecurity, compliance, GRC, or RegTech is a strong plus but not essential - if you're a quick learner with a genuine curiosity about the space, we'll get you up to speed.
