LEAD INFORMATION Job Title - Packer Site location - Winsford Industrial Estate Responsible to - Production Manager Client brief Our client is a long-standing family run manufacturer of shampoo and perfumes KEY INFORMATION Reason for vacancy - Increased demand Basic pay - £12.21ph Shifts Monday to Thursday 7am-5pm Only Regular overtime available on Fridays and Saturdays (optional) Breaks - 20-minute early break and 20-minute late break per day all breaks are paid in full Overtime - 1.5x basic rate Holidays - Accrual Facilities Excellent canteen area with fridges, microwaves and free tea & coffee, well-kept toilets. Very clean and well-maintained facility Additional Guaranteed shifts, friendly and supportive atmosphere RESPONSIBILITIES The role As a Packing Operative you will be supporting the packing of shampoo and perfumes created at site. Ensuring attention to detail throughout in all aspects of the role. LEAD INFORMATION Job Title Production Operative Site location St Helens Responsible to Production Manager Purpose of the role - Resposnible for a wide array of production tasks across a large production facility including machine operation, loading, unloading, quality checking and supporting site in any means possible. Client brief - Our client is a large well renowned family-owned business in Manufacturing timber products based in St Helens and supply the retail trade and builders merchants across the UK. KEY INFORMATION Reason for vacancy Increased demand Contract Temp to perm Hourly Rate - £12.21ph Shifts Monday to Friday days, 8am-5.30pm Facilities Fantastic facilities on site, very clean and tidy office environment, kitchen/canteen, vending machines, free parking RESPONSIBILITIES The role - The responsibilities of these positions are varied but not limited to - Operating timber production machinery within health and safety guidelines at all times Loading and unloading the timber production machines with raw material and finished product Quality Checking/Spot Checking products to ensure they meet site and client quality standards Reporting machine and product faults to management Ensuring the machinery and production areas are kept safe and clear of debris KEY SKILLS REQUIRED Previous machine operating experience (ideally in timber industry) Previous experience setting or programming timber production machinery is highly advantageous but not essential Ability to read technical drawings is highly advantageous but not essential Ability to follow instructions and read and write in English is essential Interest in developing technical ability and desire to progress is essential in these roles

CLIENT OVERVIEW Our client operates a large-scale manufacturing and production facility and places a strong emphasis on hygiene, safety, and quality standards across all areas of the site. KEY INFORMATION Contract Type: Temporary / Ongoing (Agency Assignment) Working Hours: Shift-based, 4on4off, days only 6am-6pm Pay Rate: £12.67ph, optional overtime basic rate THE ROLE The Hygiene Operative will be responsible for carrying out scheduled cleaning and hygiene duties across production, equipment, and communal areas. The role supports safe and efficient site operations by ensuring all hygiene standards are consistently met. This position requires a reliable and detail-focused individual who can follow procedures and work safely within a manufacturing environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Carry out routine hygiene and cleaning tasks in designated production and site areas Clean production equipment, floors, work surfaces, and communal areas in line with hygiene schedules Use cleaning equipment, machinery, and approved chemicals safely and correctly Follow site hygiene procedures, risk assessments, and safe systems of work Complete cleaning records and documentation accurately Adhere to all health & safety and hygiene policies at all times Empty waste bins and manage waste disposal as required Report any hygiene, safety, or maintenance issues to supervisors promptly Work alongside production teams to ensure cleaning activities support operational requirements REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Essential Previous cleaning or hygiene experience (ideally within a manufacturing or production environment) Ability to follow instructions and work to set procedures Good timekeeping, reliability, and attention to detail Awareness of basic health & safety requirements Desirable Experience using industrial cleaning equipment or machinery Knowledge of hygiene standards within a production environment Serply Recruitment Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
