Trusts and Foundations Manager We are looking to appoint an outstanding individual whose mission will be to help fund the ongoing work and growth of School of Hard Knocks. You will play a key role in the organisation, taking a lead on the major grant applications and supporting the regional directors in their targeted applications. This will involve a smart approach to research and a highly organised approach to each application. Key responsibilities will include Devising, developing and implementing a programme to meet and exceed income targets from Trusts and Foundations Focusing on medium to large trusts and foundation applications and maintaining relationships for long term partnerships Monitor and assess the financial performance of trusts and foundations fundraising to inform plans going forward To research relevant Trusts and Grant making bodies, developing compelling applications Working with Regional Directors and the overall fundraising team to understand the charity's need and funding priorities in order to secure further income from funders What we are looking for in you Someone who is highly proactive, strategic and tenacious Someone who is highly organised with the ability to oversee a large volume of potential grants and tenders in line with the submission dates Someone with VERY strong written and verbal communication skills so that you can present a compelling case for support Someone with the ability to liaise and engage with internal and external partners Someone who genuinely buys into the SOHK mission, purpose and values You must be able to demonstrate Experience working with trusts and writing compelling applications Experience of securing medium to large grants from trusts and foundations Experience of building and retaining relationships and producing stewardship plans for new and existing supporters Experience of developing relationships with donors Experience of planning and prioritising varied workloads and achieving all deadlines Salary, annual leave and working hours Salary between £33.5k - £38k depending on experience 25 days per annum plus public holidays Full time Reasonable flexible hours Work from home is optional but some office based days each month would be desirable Some travel to the different regions may periodically be required APPLICATIONS CLOSE AT 5pm MONDAY 9th JANUARY

JOB SUMMARY Based in South Wales, SOHK's Schools Facilitator will share responsibility for frontline schools delivery in Wales. Working as part of our Welsh team, you will focus on delivering the schools curriculum of the charity, mentoring young people and project managing courses. You will market the programme to new schools and build strong relationships with existing schools; deliver each day of the programme; and support participants on a 1:1 basis to address issues in their lives and help them reach goals. SOHK for Schools is a 3-year intervention, working with groups of young people. The pupils will be chosen by the school and will typically be the 'hardest to reach' young people. We will work with them for half a day every week, delivering rugby training, classroom sessions on subjects such as growth mindset, goal setting and choices and we'll deliver weekly 1:1s for each pupil. The programme will be evaluated by SOHK staff, teachers, parents and the pupils themselves. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Working with the SOHK Cymru team to execute School of Hard Knocks for Schools courses around South Wales. This involves simultaneous project management and group facilitation/coaching roles, as well as mentoring participants Working with teachers and school staff, ensuring their satisfaction and working towards securing a following year's contract Selling the schools programme to new schools - ensuring SOHK has an excellent reputation within the education sector in Wales Working with SOHK Cymru on monitoring and evaluation, report writing, admin and data input - making sure all records are accurate and timely Using your creativity to drive ever-improving standards of delivery; using self and peer-review systems to improve your ability to help participants Reporting on progress against targets, capturing monitoring and evaluation data and assisting the charity's communications and fundraising teams by providing case studies, testimonials and media from courses ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Previous successful delivery of coaching, training or schools programmes, preferably with hard-to-reach groups Experience in developing/motivating children First class communication and facilitation skills Experience of impact reporting Passion for sport and social inclusion Excellent project management and administration skills Demonstrable ability to steward partnerships or client relationships Experience of using impact measurement tools to capture data and report to other stakeholders RFU Level 2 (minimum) or equivalent coaching qualification The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh (desirable) Full driving licence (desirable) PERSON SPECIFICATION You will be extremely driven and passionate to deliver the charity's objectives, in line with its values of Integrity, Excellence, Empowerment and Commitment You will set standards in your own delivery, being meticulous in your preparation and reviews You will be able to challenge people constructively You will be skilled in working with complex young people You will be highly motivational, full of enthusiasm and positive energy and a great role model to those on our courses You will care passionately about the success of our beneficiaries and support them to realise their potential You will be highly organised with good attention to detail, able to not just follow process but to develop what is already in place and constantly improve delivery You will be someone who naturally sets high standards and will ensure that course targets are met and exceeded!
