The Account Specialist is the primary contact for GP practices and community pharmacies across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG), ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable and high-quality healthcare waste services. Combining account management with operational oversight, you'll build strong customer relationships, resolve day-to-day operational issues, identify opportunities for service improvement and support local sustainability goals. Working collaboratively with internal teams and healthcare stakeholders, you'll play a key role in delivering an outstanding customer experience, driving continuous improvement and supporting the delivery of an essential healthcare service. This is a field-based role requiring regular travel across the BNSSG region. Typically, you'll spend 3 days each week visiting customer sites, one day at our Swindon site, and one day working from home. What you'll be doing Account Management & Customer Support Act as the primary point of contact for GP practices, community pharmacies and BNSSG stakeholders, building strong relationships and delivering excellent customer service. Resolve day-to-day operational issues, support service changes and mobilisation activities, and proactively manage customer enquiries. Carry out regular site visits and stakeholder meetings, providing feedback to support service improvements and customer satisfaction. Site Performance, Compliance & Improvement Conduct site visits and audits to monitor service performance, identify improvement opportunities and support safe, effective waste management practices. Analyse audit findings and operational data, including Power BI dashboards, to identify trends, improve waste segregation and enhance service performance. Track actions through to completion, contributing to continuous improvement, innovation and sustainability initiatives. Training, Engagement & Sustainability Deliver training and awareness sessions to healthcare staff, promoting best practice in waste management. Develop and share practical guidance, resources and communications to support behavioural change and continuous improvement. Work collaboratively with internal teams and BNSSG partners to deliver sustainability initiatives, social value commitments and contract improvement projects. Do you have what it takes? You'll be confident working independently, managing multiple priorities, using data and insight to drive improvements. Experience in healthcare, environmental services or another regulated industry would be an advantage, but isn't essential. Proficient in Microsoft Office & digital systems to analyse data and identify improvement opportunities. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the BNSSG region. Desirable Experience within healthcare, waste management, environmental services or another regulated sector. Experience in an operational, account management, customer success, field-based or customer-facing role. Experience conducting site visits, audits, training, inspections or compliance reviews. What will you do? Make an impact! To assist the Site Manager in the safe, compliant and efficient operation and development of Cheshire Waste Management Centre. Working on a hazardous waste management site, providing technical support and chemical analysis for the operation. Ensuring efficient management of material receipt, dispatch and on site storage. Duties to be carried out in compliance with the site Permit, environmental, health & safety and transport legislation whilst also complying with the relevant company policies and procedures. Duties/Responsibilities: To carry out inspection, analysis and routing for incoming wastes. Arrange and prepare waste for outgoing loads ensuring all loads meet all required legislation. To ensure stock is managed and stored in accordance with legislation, guidance and local procedures. Conduct laboratory analyses, including sample preparation, testing, and data interpretation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures and safety standards. To liaise with customer service and technical assessment departments to resolve issues such as non-conformance. To forge and maintain effective working relationships with sales colleagues to maximise turnover and profitability. To assist the site management team in ensuring compliance with the Company's Health and Safety and business systems policies. To ensure relevant records are maintained and adherence to systems and procedures. To assist in maintenance tasks where necessary. Do you have what it takes? A Qualification to HNC level as a minimum in Chemistry, or very closely aligned discipline. Ability to liaise and communicate with all areas of the business. To ensure our commitment to offering our customers the best range of available options, Tradebe are looking for an additional chemist to join the team! Working in addition to the current IRS Chemist, you will also work closely with the IRS Supervisor, IRS Operations Manager and the rest of the team daily to ensure the highest levels of technical compliance and operational efficiency are maintained. Key Responsibilities: Material Quality & Compliance: Ensure all incoming materials are inspected and approved for recovery via the relevant IRS export route. Accurately analyse and classify hazardous waste according to regulatory frameworks (e.g., hazard codes, physical/chemical properties). This ensures the waste is correctly described for export and handled safely throughout the process. Repackaging & Routing: Determine the most effective and safe repackaging methods, balancing cost and end-destination criteria.
