Dalton Recruitment has a very exciting opportunity available with national client for a Communications Executive to support the delivery of clear, consistent and engaging communications across their internal and external audiences. This is a hands-on role where you'll play an important part in creating compelling content, coordinating varied communication activities and helping to strengthen their reputation and employee engagement across the business. Working closely with both external communications and employee engagement teams, you'll help ensure strong alignment between what the organisation communicates externally and what employees experience internally. You would be joining the organisation during a period of very exciting positive growth and change and this role will be incredibly important to the internal and external messaging around that change. You will need to be based out of their Woking offices ideally 4 days/week and work from home for one (but with a little bit of flexibility around it as required and in line with business needs). What you'll be doing: External Communications Researching, drafting and editing content for press releases, announcements, website updates and social media (particularly LinkedIn) Supporting the delivery of proactive communications that enhance organisational reputation Helping maintain a forward-looking content pipeline aligned to business priorities Coordinating with external PR agencies to ensure consistent and effective messaging Assisting with reactive communications materials such as Q&As, briefings and holding statements Monitoring media coverage and producing summaries and insights for internal stakeholders Escalating emerging issues or reputational risks appropriately Internal Communications Supporting the planning and delivery of internal communications that keep employees informed and engaged Working closely with Employee Engagement teams to create and publish internal content Building relationships across the business to gather insights and translate them into inspiring and engaging internal stories Required skills and experience: Experience in communications, PR, journalism or a related field, ideally within a corporate or complex environment Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline such as: Communications / Public Relations Journalism / English / Marketing / Media or related subject. Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities Confidence handling sensitive information with sound judgement and discretion Experience creating content for digital and social media channels A proactive, collaborative approach and a genuine interest in communications Desirable: A postgraduate qualification or professional training in: Communications / Public Relations / Corporate Communications / Journalism Evidence of continued professional development in communications, media, digital or internal engagement.
