A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Recruiting for a dedicated, nurturing and proactive part-time Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join the specialist SEN provision supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a Hornchurch School. To Start: After the Easter break Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 12.30pm with a 15min break (Term time only) The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions that support the children's communication, social interaction, emotional regulation and learning development . This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with experience in ASD provision who is passionate about creating meaningful progress for children with Learning Difficulties. Responsibilities & Requirements: Provide 1:1 and small-group support to children with ASD, following EHCP targets. Implement structured interventions including: Attention Autism, Lego Therapy and Intensive Interaction. Support the children's speech, language and communication development. Use visual supports, schedules and sensory strategies to aid the children's understanding and self-regulation. Support with personal care, if required, and ensure safeguarding procedures are always followed. Assist in creating a calm, predictable and supportive learning environment.
