We are looking for a Risk & Controls Manager to help us further embed our conduct risk framework (especially Consumer Duty) across the business. You'll play a key role by Support the business in developing and enhancing controls that protect our customer and business needs now and in the future Use data to demonstrate we are delivering good customer outcomes Develop briefings for Executive and Board level review, including our annual Consumer Duty board report Lead regulatory responses and briefings Ensure the first line proactively consider and incorporate Consumer Duty requirements in products and features Innovate and improve on the effectiveness of governance and risk management process to ensure they work for Monzo Embed robust regulatory, conduct, and operational risk practices and culture Foster positive and collaborative relationships across the three lines of defence Ensure governance-related requirements are met Coordinate conduct risk governance and oversight meetings Responsible for coordinating and supporting the first line in "business as usual" activities to comply with the Consumer Duty Manage and report on the risk and control environment (risks, controls, issues, incidents, remedial actions, etc) Manage regulatory and audit deadlines and submissions Please note - We are looking for someone who can manage senior conduct risk, whilst still getting hands-on and 'doing the do' in an individual contributor capacity. As a Senior Director, you'll start by leading an organisation of 50 Engineers and Engineering Leaders, which will continue to grow over the next 18 months. You'll be leading our core consumer app at Monzo focusing on user acquisition, engagement, and personal banking product growth.
