We are looking for a part time Credit Control specialist to manage the debt portfolio and areas of Transaction Services out of our Solent office . We would consider candidates who would like to work 3 full days on a part time basis of 22.5 hours a week, which can be spread over 4 or 5 days. Please specify your preference in your cover letter. Key Responsibilities: Manage the credit control function for the Solent office (Blend of both B2B & B2C debt). Achieve cash collection targets and other KPIs. Liaise with the Firm's Partners to collect debts in accordance with the Credit Policy. Make recommendations to help mitigate risk and increase cash collection. Conduct monthly debtor meetings with the Office Principal and other partners. Manage queries to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner. Refer default debts for further action. The Person: 3-5 years in credit control, ideally in a similar role. Experience in a professional services industry is an advantage but not essential. Studying for CICM is an advantage but not essential. Able to deal with change management efficiently. Able to work with different systems and overcome obstacles. Here's what you'll be doing: Confidently manages a portfolio of TDD cases at all stages from client onboarding through to settlement. Keeping up-to-date with developments in all relevant technical areas and the general economic climate. What We're Looking For You will have relevant UK tax dispute resolution experience, and experience of dealing with senior HMRC investigators and management. You will be self-motivated and able to apply relevant skills to new scenarios. Ideally, you will be a seasoned tax professional (ACA, ACCA, CIOT or equivalent) or be an ex-HM Inspector of Taxes. You must be able to meet deadlines, multi-task, and work under pressure with accuracy and focus.
