Blocktech MEP are looking on behalf of their client for a Mechanical Site Supervisor ideally possessing an associated trade qualification (M&E, pipe welding/fitting, building services, HVAC, groundworks / civil works) Your role will be to visit/supervise multiple construction sites around the UK and liaise with site personnel, Project Managers, and client representatives to deliver successful installations smoothly, on time and within a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities Liaise with contract team regarding current projects and status. Liaise with site teams to check/monitor Health & Safety Compliance. Carrying out site toolbox talks, & mentor installers Participating in H&S meetings and site audits to ensure team working to client RAMS, Attend site meetings to assist contracts team. Communication between site teams and office. Assisting with Plant Hires/Off Hires, Deliveries & site clearances. Monitoring/Checking Installer Plant & Tool certifications, & PPE suitability. Conduct site surveys as directed by the Contracts Team Commissioning duties to completed installations. Alarm Wire Surveys as directed by Contracts Team. Required Skills / Experience SSSTS / SMSTS /CSCS/ISOH CPCS Lift Supervisor Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must have excellent communication skills at all levels. Must be hardworking, reliable and possess a good work ethic. Must be able to deal with multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have previous construction site experience and be looking to forge a career. This is a great opportunity to join a company and learn a trade both on the job and with training provided. Many of the previous welders working for this client have come through the system in this way. This role will be supporting the senior welder working alongside a Pre-insulated Pipe Installer on construction sites all around the UK installing buried pre-insulated steel and plastic pipes. You will be required to lodge away from home 90% of the time during a working week. Projects can last anywhere between a few days and a year depending on the size and nature of the scheme however an average project duration is approximately 1 month. Necessary requirements and attributes for the successful candidate Adhere to the company health, safety and environmental procedures. Necessary experience required for a successful application: Commercial Buildings, including office fit outs, and Industrial units. Dilapidations including the negotiations. Project Management Tender Processes. Acquisitions including full life cycle Schedules of condition reports. Landlord and Tenant Services. Producing high standard technical Building survey reports. Personable attributes for successful candidate: Ability to build rapport with clients whilst delivering expert advice. A good work ethos with a high level of commercial awareness and integrity.
