A residential Care home based in Amersham is currently looking for Domestic cleaner a relaxed and inviting environment designed to promote comfort, security, and overall wellbeing for our residents. 29 en-suite rooms, most with showers and stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Some rooms even accommodate couples who wish to stay together. As a Chef, you will lead the catering staff, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards while fostering a positive and efficient work environment. Duties Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food production meets quality standards. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and presentation standards. Adhering to our Residents' dietary requirements in a Care Home environment, such as low fat diets, soft food diets, allergens and cultural preferences to food. Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices. Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels. Implement and maintain food safety protocols in accordance with health regulations. Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times. Monitor kitchen performance and provide feedback to team members for improvement. Work in line with our Residents to ensure their preferences, choices for food are taken into consideration and applied at seasonal menus. Requirements Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a nursing /care home/hospital or Nursery/school Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary arts, and food safety regulations. Adhering to our Residents' dietary requirements in a Care Home environment, such as low fat diets, soft food diets, allergens and cultural preferences to food Must be able to adhere to Dietary requirements of - vegetarian, vegan, gluten free Must be confident with IDDSI level diets Prepare English Cuisine Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in supervising and managing teams. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
