Introducing the Infrastructure Engineering and Tooling team aka Atlas at Trainline We own the eco-system used to deploy, run and manage traffic to Trainline platform and currently are working on the next version of the Trainline infrastructure platform. The team is split into two squads with a mix of software engineers, devops and platform engineers, with good mix of Junior, Senior, Staff and Principal engineers, one Engineering Manager for each of the squads and Head of Engineering overseeing strategic direction and delivery along with Tech Product Manager. We use a variety of technologies, from Terraform to NodeJS, including C#, Python and AWS but fear not, you are not expected to know it all. We focus on reliability, quality and automation; we deliver fast and iterate. As a Cloud Engineer at Trainline you will Join a high performing, inclusive team, where you will be able to inspire people, own results. Work on transforming Trainline into a Cloud Native organisation by embracing Automation and Infrastructure as Code to create an opinionated platform that improves the stability and reliability help the product teams to ship product features to our customers faster through process and tooling improvements. You will be able to work on a wide variety of projects, from Infrastructure as Code to software development, always focusing on clean, testable, quality code. Improve upon and build solutions that enable product teams to ship faster. Contribute to process improvements, iterating along the way. Qualifications We'd love to hear from you if you Consider yourself reliable, transparent and considerate. Thrive in a diverse, open and collaborative environment. Have knowledge of Cloud computing, ideally AWS. Are a fan of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / OpenTofu) and automation! Have good experience with at least one programming language (e.g. Node.js, Python, C#) Have experience of testing practices such as Test-Driven Development. Have a basic understanding of Linux. What you'll be doing We're looking for a Head of Brand Proposition to lead the charge on shaping what Trainline stands for in the eyes (and hearts) of our customers. You'll define the big-picture vision and drive the strategy behind our global propositions, always rooted in deep insight, always aligned with what customers really want, and always ahead of the curve. This is a pivotal role for a strategic thinker who gets excited about where the market is going and how Trainline can stay two steps ahead. Your day to day Set the vision Own our 3-5 year global proposition strategy keeping it insight-led, customer-first and commercially sharp. Spot opportunities before others do, partnering with Brand Insights, UX and Data teams to shape game-changing, differentiated propositions. Ensure local market nuances are baked into everything we build, collaborating closely with our Country Managers. Drive cross-functional innovation Bring teams together - Product, Design, Brand and Commercial to embed customer value into our roadmap. Help shape messaging, testing and go-to-market strategies that break through the noise. Define success metrics and keep a laser-focus on what's working (and what's not). Deliver with impact Build scalable frameworks to guide proposition development and feature marketing. Partner with Product and Design to bring our propositions to life in-product. Ensure consistency across every customer touch point from brand to product and everything in between. Lead & inspire Coach, develop and grow a high-performing proposition team, starting with one direct report. Be a trusted voice to senior leaders advising on strategy and positioning across key business priorities. As a MLOps Engineering Manager at Trainline you will Build a new team of MLOps Engineers working alongside ML Engineers, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Data Scientists and Product Managers Define MLOps processes and steer tooling and infrastructure choices across the technology department Own the deployment and operations of machine learning products Ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable and maintainable machine learning models and AI Systems that drive measurable impact for our business Act as a bridge between engineering and data, ensuring engineering standards are met while understanding the specificities of data, AI and machine learning challenges Take an active part in our AI and ML community and foster a culture of rigorous experimentation, testing and learning We'd love to hear from you if you Have experience productionising batch and online Machine Learning models (such as classification & regression problems, recommendation systems, Large Language Models ) at scale Are familiar with the ML development lifecycle and have a broad understanding of data extraction, feature engineering, modelling and evaluation techniques. Have experience with Cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS), DevOps technologies such as Docker or Terraform and CI/CD processes and tools. Have previously worked with MLOps tools like MLFlow and Airflow, or on common problems such as model and API monitoring, data drift and validation, autoscaling, access permissions Have previously worked with monitoring tools such as New Relic or Grafana Understand the use of feature stores and related data technologies for operational machine learning products Are proficient with Python and have Spark knowledge.
