As an Assistant Management Accountant , you will work closely with the Management Accountant, supporting month end activities during a busy period, while also helping with transactional finance tasks as required. Key tasks and responsibilities Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies. Complete monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts and currencies. Carry out regular stock reconciliations, ensuring accuracy between finance systems and physical stock records. Calculate monthly sales commission payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company commission schemes. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities. Assist with accruals, prepayments, and journal postings. Produce and analyse financial reports for internal stakeholders. Support cash flow reporting and monitoring. Assist with year-end audit preparation and provide supporting documentation as required. Support the wider finance function with transactional finance duties on an ad hoc basis. Qualifications and experience Previous experience in an accounting role with a focus on month-end duties. Experience preparing reconciliations and supporting month-end processes. Knowledge of bank reconciliations, stock reconciliations, and commission calculations. Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs. Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy. Strong organisational and time management skills. The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
