What You'll Be Doing: As an experienced Compliance Manager, you will be the go-to person for all things compliance, ensuring the business meets their regulatory obligations while continuing to innovate. You'll play a crucial role in protecting the business and their customers. Develop, implement, and manage the compliance framework, policies, and procedures, with a focus on the mortgage industry. Complaints Management - Investigate and resolve any compliance-related issues or complaints quickly and effectively. Stay ahead of regulatory changes and industry best practices to keep the compliance strategy sharp and effective. Be the expert on a wide range of compliance areas, including compliance monitoring, conduct risk, TCF, SMCR, and FCA reporting. Work with the team of brokers, underwriters, and leadership to provide guidance and training on compliance matters - future proofing the business. Monitor and review mortgage loan documentation, disclosures, and advertising to ensure everything is clear, fair, and not misleading. Be the main point of contact for regulatory bodies, managing reports and documentation. Requirements As the preferred candidate you will have: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance role within the financial services industry, ideally with a background in mortgages or Insurance. SMF Status - Ideally SMF16 Strong understanding of the UK's regulatory landscape (FCA, etc.). A knack for identifying potential compliance risks and creating smart strategies to mitigate them. Excellent communication skills - you can make complex compliance topics easy for anyone to understand. You're a self-starter who can manage your own time and priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment. A relevant experience or degree in business, finance, or a related field is a plus, and certifications like the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) are highly desirable.
