The Role: The Royal Foundation is seeking an exceptional Project Manager to play a key role in coordinating and delivering strategic projects across Homewards priority thematic areas: homes; funding and finance; employment; early intervention; data; and changing the narrative. Reporting into the Senior Project Manager and working closely with colleagues across the programme, the Project Manager for Strategic Delivery is a vital role as we deliver ambitious cross-location initiatives that tackle homelessness. They will be based within the core Homewards team but will work closely with other Foundation teams, Kensington Palace, and external delivery partners. Role Description and Core Responsibilities Establishing and overseeing the project management processes required to ensure effective delivery of projects within the six strategic initiatives areas Coordinating delivery efforts with the Homewards Activator partners (and other external delivery partners) to ensure strategies and commitments are deployed on the ground within the six Homewards locations Taking ownership for the successful delivery of allocated strategic projects Monitoring and reporting on delivery of strategic projects against agreed timelines, ensuring risks, assumptions, dependencies, and actions are identified, tracked, and resolved Organising programme and stakeholder meetings, preparing agendas/papers, managing logistics and producing minutes as required Build and maintain relationships with appropriate internal and external stakeholders, and support the day-to-day management of the stakeholder ecosystem Chairing key programme update meetings, working with senior colleagues on agendas and ensuring actions and captured and carried out Promoting a strong partnership/team ethos and collaborative ways of working both within the programme team and wider Homewards partnership Undertaking other duties that may, from time to time, be necessary and compatible with the nature and level of this post. Homewards is a transformative five-year programme, working with six locations, to demonstrate that together it s possible to end homelessness making it rare, brief and unrepeated. The Royal Foundation has selected six flagship locations across the UK and formed Coalitions of committed organisations and people from their public, private and voluntary sectors: Aberdeen, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, Lambeth, Newport, Northern Ireland, and Sheffield. United for Wildlife The programme was founded by Prince William and The Royal Foundation in 2014. It aims to make it impossible for traffickers to transport, finance, or profit from illegal wildlife products. By working collaboratively with the transport and finance sectors, building partnerships with law enforcement and NGOs, United for Wildlife is disrupting this criminal network globally. United for Wildlife created the Financial Taskforce to engage with the industry to create a collaborative forum through which practical and achievable actions can be taken to tackle this pernicious trade, including a "follow the money" approach and sequential financial crime investigation in relation to suspected IWT activity. In 2020, United for Wildlife developed a new strategy focussing on the expansion of the network, coordinating industry expertise, and embedding best practise across the sector. Reporting to the programme lead and working closely with the Chair of the Financial Taskforce and Transport Taskforce Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for helping to deliver and enhance this strategy. Role description and core responsibilities Management of the United for Wildlife Financial Taskforce, working with the Taskforce members and other partners to develop the programme and support the implementation, delivery, and monitoring of agreed activities, within budget and on time. Building and maintaining close relationships with partners and stakeholders as relevant to the Financial Taskforce, ensuring a regular and timely flow of communication and engagement. To act as the central contact point for all Financial Taskforce members and new signatories. To engage and present to high-level senior executives of the Financial Taskforce (current and prospective), regulatory bodies, and other organisations (e.g. NGOs) to support collaboration to counter the IWT. You will also support the Chair of the Financial Taskforce's engagement with c-suite leaders from FTSE100 and equivalent stakeholders. Developing and executing new initiatives relevant to the finance sector to increase their ability to counter the IWT. Managing the reporting, monitoring, and evaluation process to ensure that the Taskforce can respond swiftly and adapt to changing circumstances. Organising regular UfW 'spotlights' (i.e. briefing sessions and workshops) and Financial Taskforce meetings, including within the regions. This includes developing meeting agendas and other relevant documents. Briefing internal and external senior stakeholders on the activities and impact of the programme. Assisting with the preparation of briefing materials and documents for the Board of Trustees and HRH The Duke of Cambridge. Supporting the Head of Programme in budget tracking and reporting to feed into the annual planning process, accounting and audit process, and fundraising. Relevant knowledge and experience In-depth knowledge of the financial services sector and a thorough understanding of financial crime compliance (including AML), demonstrated from previous roles (essential). Proven ability to manage complex projects (essential), including those international in scope (desirable). Demonstrated ability to identify and manage risk proactively (essential). Experience of building effective and productive relationships involving multi-stakeholder groups, including private companies, governmental organisations, and the third sector (essential). Proven ability to tailor your message and delivery based on the audience (essential). Ability to translate strategic intent into operational goals - including understanding the practical implementation of operationalising projects within the financial services sector (essential). Experience of working on project/s related to conservation (desirable).
