What you'll be doing As our in-house UK qualified employment law solicitor you will be part of the CoSec team, managing HR-related legal risks and compliance across the whole of Gymshark. You will have experience in contentious and non-contentious employment work and be willing to apply risk management across different jurisdictions. Specifically, you will: Develop, update, and implement company employment policies, ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations. Provide expert guidance to HR and management on employment law matters, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour laws, leave policies, and workplace accommodations. Conduct regular audits of policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and industry best practices. Lead or support internal investigations related to employment concerns, employee relations issues, and policy violations. Develop and deliver training programs on employment law topics, workplace policies, and best practices for managers and employees. Collaborate with the People team to respond to employment-related claims, litigation, and regulatory inquiries. Monitor changes in labour laws and industry trends to recommend proactive updates to company policies. Maintain detailed and accurate records of policies, investigations, and compliance activities. What you'll need Post qualified experience as a solicitor, practicing UK employment law. Strong knowledge of applicable HR laws and regulations. Experience conducting workplace investigations and handling employee relations matters, including settlement and severance negotiations. Experience in drafting employment contracts and policies. What you could also have Experience in the retail / consumer sector International experience, whether working in private practice or in industry An agile and risk-based approach and a curiosity for learning about the labour laws in the key territories where Gymshark trades.
