Events Manager- Business & Finance Events London (Hybrid Flex, 3 days office - Travel North America, Asia & Europe Salary £36,000 + Benefits My client is an award-winning team delivering a portfolio of market-leading events, research reports, newsletters and digital content across investor relations & governance sectors, due to continued expansion a role has arisen for an Events Manager. About this role This is a hands-on role at the heart of the event operations team. You'll take full ownership of your own events, running them end-to-end from venue and supplier negotiation through to onsite delivery. Your events will range from intimate half-day formats such as breakfast briefings, luncheons and roundtable discussions, through to forums and think tanks, with audiences ranging from around 20 to 200 guests. You'll lead venue and AV conversations for your events from the outset, negotiating with confidence as you get to know our suppliers, standards and company-specific ways of working. Responsibilities Source, negotiate and manage contracts and relationships with venues and key suppliers, including but not limited to AV, photography and print Set up and track your event budgets, keeping spend accurate and on plan Set up and update event pages on our website (built on WordPress) Work with the producer on AV, speakers, slides and pre-event checks Produce accurate running orders and event documentation, and lead staff briefings Lead onsite operations for your events, troubleshooting in real time and maintaining a calm, professional delivery environment Lead post-event wrap-ups and evaluations, capturing learnings and implementing improvements Use HubSpot for your event reporting and data quality checks Help improve scalable processes, templates and best practices across the events program Run the live briefing on Bright TALK, managing slides, speakers and the virtual delivery on the day Experience Required 2 years' experience managing B2B events end-to-end, including sourcing and negotiating with venues and suppliers Strong project management and organizational skills, able to juggle multiple concurrent events of varying size, format, geography and complexity to tight deadlines A problem-solver who stays calm under pressure and is comfortable troubleshooting in real time onsite Personable and quick to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders, including sponsors, delegates and suppliers Genuinely tech-minded and quick to learn new tools, comfortable across their tech stack or able to pick it up fast: a CMS (we use WordPress), webinar platform, CRM and registration tools (HubSpot experience is an advantage) Proactive in using AI and automation to improve processes and increase efficiency, with a real appetite to build these skills further Commercially aware, confident tracking and managing event budgets, and focused on delivering events that are commercially successful and professionally executed, on budget and to a high standard
