Role: Senior Developer - Golang Contract: 6 months Rate: £40 per hour IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Location: Sussex - 3 days per week on-site About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer with Golang experience to join a well-established financial services company on an initial 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on developer with a strong software development background and practical experience in Go (Golang) to contribute to the development and maintenance of high-quality software solutions within a financial services environment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable and secure applications. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain high-quality software solutions. Write clean, efficient, maintainable and well-tested code using Golang. Contribute to technical design discussions and software architecture decisions. Troubleshoot, debug and resolve application issues. Collaborate with developers, testers, business analysts and other stakeholders. Follow software development best practices, including code reviews, testing and version control. Ensure solutions meet the performance, reliability and security requirements expected within financial services. Essential Skills and Experience 5+ years of software development experience in a professional environment. 1-2 years of hands-on development experience with Golang (Go). Strong understanding of software engineering principles and development best practices. Experience developing, testing and maintaining production-quality applications. Good problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively within an established development team. Willingness to work on-site in Sussex three days per week. Contract Details Contract duration: 6 months initially. Day-to-day rate equivalent: £40 per hour. IR35: Inside IR35. Working arrangement: Hybrid, with 3 days per week on-site in Sussex. Sector: Financial Services.
