They are seeking an Installation Operative to support pump and pipework installations across customer sites, operating from their Chandler's Ford branch. This role plays a key part in delivering safe, efficient, and high quality installation projects across the UK. Responsibilities Carry out installations and deinstallations of pumps, pipework, and associated equipment under the direction of the Installation Supervisor. Install a range of pipework and fittings including large diameter steel pipe, Bauer fittings, hydraulic pump heads, and manifolds. Work alongside subcontractors and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently. Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles, checking equipment against paperwork and reporting damages or shortages. Maintain high standards of housekeeping across site, yard, and workshop environments. Review and work in accordance with RAMS and site specific safety requirements at all times. Take responsibility for personal safety and stop work if unsafe conditions arise. Support depot activities including hose testing, cleaning hire equipment, and assisting mechanical or electrical staff when required. Skills and Experience Previous experience within construction, water, utilities, oil, or gas environments with an understanding of on site safety. Physically able to undertake demanding site based installation work. Comfortable working at height, in confined spaces, lone working, and around sewage. Ability to adapt to changing site conditions and maintain a calm, practical approach. Willingness to travel UK wide, work away from home when required, and participate in a one in three on call rota. Full UK driving licence with no more than six points. CSCS card, National Water Hygiene Card, confined space training, or forklift certification advantageous. Understanding of temporary or permanent pumping solutions beneficial. They are seeking a Workshop Fitter to support diesel engine and pump maintenance within a regional workshop operation. This role supports equipment reliability, safety, and operational readiness. Responsibilities Carry out diesel engine and pump repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance within the workshop. Complete all work in line with manufacturer procedures, safety standards, and agreed timescales. Maintain constant awareness of personal safety, the safety of others, and the surrounding environment. Communicate clearly with the workshop manager and colleagues on job requirements, downtime, and fault causes. Inspect equipment for damage and ensure accurate reporting to the branch management team. Identify and propose practical improvements to machines, equipment, or maintenance processes. Complete all required paperwork and administration accurately and on time. Skills and Experience Experience working with diesel engines and or industrial pumps within a workshop environment. Strong fault finding and diagnostic capability with the ability to resolve issues efficiently. Competence using diagnostic equipment along with standard hand and power tools. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a mechanical discipline, ideally automotive or similar. Clear written and verbal communication skills to support effective workshop coordination. Willingness to develop skills further and undertake additional training as required. Key Duties & Responsibilities As a Mobile Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repair of diesel driven pumps and associated ancillary equipment on customer sites. The role includes responsibility for the daily upkeep of your company vehicle, ensuring it remains safe, clean and fully operational. You will work in line with all health, safety and environmental procedures, wearing appropriate PPE at all times, and may occasionally support workshop activities or cover additional duties during periods of absence. Flexibility to support overtime and on call requirements is part of the role. Skills and Experience Proven experience working with diesel engines, including servicing, diagnostics and repair, ideally gained in a mobile mechanical, plant, pump or similar field service environment. Comfortable working on customer sites, with a good understanding of on site safety, isolation procedures and safe systems of work. A proactive and methodical approach is essential, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
