Visit us here to find out more: Following a period of significant change within the business and the department itself, Group Finance needs to finalise its mission to deliver robust, repeatable processes, rapid and reliable internal and external reporting, and a cost-effective statutory audit. Responsibilities Manage the month end process to closure of ledgers for actuals, presiding over (and controlling) the daily 'pulse call' to ensure all R2R teams remain on target. Manage the monthly management reporting process from point of finalisation of actuals in the ledgers through to production of all management accounts packs, incorporating the consolidation of actuals from the Reporting team, forecast numbers and commentary from the divisional finance teams, balance sheet segmentation and cashflow analysis. Oversee basic FP&A activities, supporting the divisional finance teams. Systemise and improve the consolidation process, including a cost/benefit consideration (and project managing this process should such an outcome be positive) of moving to a consolidation tool. Challenge process inefficiencies within Finance, working to improve Finance knowledge or drive process change, partnering with IT (where applicable) for systemic improvement or resolution. Partner with IT to provide quick and effective response for Finance-impacting Agresso issues. Line management responsibilities for one direct report, with "dotted line" responsibility for three colleagues in India. Experience Qualified accountant with strong post qualified experience. Strong negotiator, as will be facing off against senior people in the Finance team. Excellent time management skills, as deliverables will encompass significant components produced by others not within the role's direct reporting line. Good communicator, particularly bridging the gap between the needs of Finance and the detailed systems knowledge of IT. Pragmatism and task-oriented focus.
