THOMAS Professional are excited to be working in partnership with Laithwaines Wine, a leading name in the wine industry, to recruit enthusiastic Customer Service Advisors to join their call centre team on a temporary basis until the end of December 2026. As a Customer Service Advisor, you will be supporting customers primarily over the phone, as well as via email and live chat, helping with a variety of enquiries and delivering an excellent customer experience. Pay & Hours Pay: £12.71 per hour + potential bonus, subject to eligibility and applicable criteria Typically Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm, however weekly hours may vary depending on business requirements. What you ll be doing Handling inbound and outbound customer calls in a friendly, professional and efficient manner. Responding to customer enquiries via phone, email and live chat. Processing orders and managing customer accounts accurately. Providing product information and guidance to customers. Handling complaints with empathy and working towards positive solutions. Delivering a consistently high standard of customer service. Working towards individual and team targets. Supporting the wider team during busy periods. What we re looking for Previous customer service experience is welcomed, whether gained in a call centre, retail, hospitality or another customer-facing environment we re also open to candidates from other backgrounds with transferable skills. Excellent communication skills and a friendly, confident telephone manner. A genuine passion for delivering great customer service. Experienced CNC Miller Machinist - Leading Hand Location: Rugby Salary: £36,000 - £39,000 DOE + £2,500 Leading Hand allowance Type: Permanent Are you an experienced CNC Miller looking for your next challenge, with the opportunity to take on additional responsibility within the workshop? We are currently recruiting for an established and growing precision engineering company based in Rugby, supplying high-quality components to a range of industries including aerospace, automotive, oil & gas and general engineering. Due to continued growth and investment in technology, they are looking for an experienced CNC Miller Machinist to join their team. This is primarily a hands-on CNC machining position, with the opportunity to take on Leading Hand responsibilities. Previous Leading Hand or supervisory experience is not essential, but candidates with the ability and willingness to take on additional responsibility will be particularly well suited. The Role As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines, producing high-quality precision components to customer specifications. Alongside your CNC responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to support the smooth running of the workshop by taking on a range of Leading Hand duties, helping to coordinate the shop floor and ensure production runs efficiently. Key CNC responsibilities include: Program, set and operate CNC milling machines Online programming using G-code Work with Fanuc / Mill Plus controls Machine components using 4-axis milling Read and interpret engineering drawings Work to tight tolerances and high-quality standards Carry out setting and prove-out of jobs Troubleshoot machining and production issues Work efficiently and use your own initiative Maintain a high standard of quality and productivity Leading Hand responsibilities include: Liaise closely with the Shop Floor Manager to support daily production requirements Allocate tasks and work to members of the shop floor team Assist with material coordination to ensure jobs are ready for production Support process optimisation and identify opportunities to improve efficiency Assist with troubleshooting machining, production and workflow issues Help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards Previous Leading Hand experience is desirable but not essential. The company is looking for someone with the technical ability, initiative and communication skills to step into this additional responsibility.
