Using an overhead crane to load steel coils onto a mandrel and feed it into the rolling mill - Crane certification required in house course will be undertaken When the coil comes to an end, load another onto the mandrel and spot weld them together, this process continues throughout Recording of coils that are loaded and consumed throughout the shop floor computer system (All training on overhead cranes will be provided for this part of the role) Operate Uncoiler, Flattener, Shear Welder, and Accumulator Load steel coil into uncoiler, sheer/weld new coil to previous one, and keep line moving Alert to quality issues Use of a Micrometre and Vernier to check the size, thickness and quality of the product Check the length corresponds with the job card and record and book finished products on the shop floor computer system Banding machine to then band the tube at the end of the process Read and correctly use a measuring tape, micrometer, and caliper Skills and Experience required: 1-2 year's industrial manufacturing experience Welding experience Mechanically inclined Effective communication reading, speaking, writing English Physically able to stand and walk for long periods of time, perform repetitive lifting 30lbs-50lbs, overhead reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling INDLS
