You will be helping service users who've often endured a lifetime of adversity - abuse, deprivation, and trauma. These individuals grapple with extreme challenges in their relationships, battling issues like emotion management, identity disturbance, impulsiveness, and self-injury. You'll be their guiding light, providing assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention based on the latest evidence and our cutting-edge service model. You will be involved in the provision of assessment, formulation & therapeutic intervention to clients referred to the service in line with the most recent evidence and service model. You will work in collaboration with other psychological therapists to deliver specialist psychological interventions to people with Personality Disorders. This will include working individually and in groups. You will provide supervision and training to junior staff. The Psychologically Informed Consultation and Training (PICT) Team, is a team of Psychologists, Psychotherapists and Lived Experience Practitioners who have expertise in working with people who may meet criteria for a diagnosis of Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder. PICT offer consultation, training and support to staff working in Primary Care Networks, Community Services, and third sector services across Berkshire. PICT team sits within the wider Intensive Management of Personality Disorder and Clinical Therapies Team (IMPACTT).We are building our lived experience workforce within PICT, and across the Trust as a whole, and now have this new and exciting role which will draw on the postholder's lived experience to help improve services for our clients. The postholder will have a variety of opportunities to shape this role and will be supported through supervision with the PICT Advanced Lived Experience (KUF) Development Lead. We are committed to your ongoing development and can offer a range of learning opportunities, such as further developing training and presentation skills and undertaking a Peer Support Worker training. IMPACTT and PICT are based within the University of Reading Whiteknights Campus and work across the county, remotely and face to face. Part-time and full-time hours can be considered.
