Strategic Buyer - The Role: To ensure a robust supply base that meets it's needs in support of; customer service, profitable growth and improved financial performance. Negotiate and manage all supplier contracts (new + renewals). Ensure adherence to corporate procedures. Support with monthly deflation reporting via POL. Review bad PPI/PPV via POL and work to establish why and gain improvements. Carry out cost reduction and deflation projects. Carry out Risk mitigation projects. Conduct Sourcing reviews. Help drive a Continuous Improvement Programme within the supply base. Strategic Buyer - Candidate Requirements: Significant experience in managing external supply base. Excellent business acumen with ability to build effective partnerships with suppliers. Proven record in budget achievement and effective financial management Effective and efficient negotiator Problem solving approach. Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to successfully negotiate and close out NPA's. Ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders and understanding the core messaging required.
