We have an exciting, unique opportunity for a DevOps Manager to come in and lead a talented group of DevOps Engineers from the front. DevOps is a growing team within easyJet Holidays who has the important mission of supporting the developers and the infrastructure of the whole company to achieve its goals. It is a very tight-knit team that moves fast and deals with a lot of pressure. This is a permanent vacancy, based in Luton. (Hybrid Working) What you'll be doing Bridge the gap between development and operations. Work with and manage the DevOps teams to deliver new ideas and projects. Automate our processes, enhance our existing automation, providing management insight on risks and opportunities to improve. Identify new technologies, methodologies and ways of working to improve effectiveness of the team. Work with the developers to create better development and deployment processes. Ensure our infrastructure is maintained and is 'fit for purpose' considering availability, capacity, scalability, performance, continuity and security. Monitor and manage the health of our systems. Collaborate with service delivery and second line support to improve operational activities. Work with product teams, platform teams and live service teams to understand needs and requirements for DevOps Support. Develop plans and forecasts to predict future team shape/composition and take necessary actions to address. Ensure talent recognition and performance management processes are effective and actioned where necessary. Ensure best practice / methodology is in place for automating and streamlining the software delivery process through the implementation of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code practices. Take responsibility for ensuring the team monitor and maintain system health, ensuring optimal application performance and availability by identifying and resolving issues proactively. Lead the DevOps engineers in collaboration with development and operations teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. What you'll bring to the team Managing a team of highly skilled DevOps engineers but still enjoy being hands on Working with the business to create processes and ways of working Demonstrable experience of DevOps and cloud technologies. Excellent multi-tasking and strong communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You are proficient with Windows and Linux operating systems. You possess a strong command of software-automation production systems (e.g. TeamCity, GitHub Actions). Excellent knowledge of Git. You are an expert in code deployment tools (preferably Octopus deploy). You are an expert in Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform). Knowledge of Logging & Monitoring with ELK or similar. You have a working knowledge of databases and SQL. Knowledge of Automated testing techniques and tooling. Experience of AWS.
