We are currently looking to train a Graduate to join our experienced team providing temporary labour to a wide range of clients within the industrial sector in the North East. Those clients range from small local companies to large global manufacturing corporations. The purpose of the role is to work closely with our clients, forging strong relationships through delivering first class recruitment services. This is a difficult role to perform well and will require dedication to the job, both within standard office hours and beyond. The duties will include: Sourcing and screening applicants to ensure suitability by telephone and face to face interviews Ensuring compliance with paperwork and employment legislative requirements Engaging applicants and the ability to secure commitment for interview/work Effectively communication of job roles and opportunities Travelling to client sites to deliver pre-start inductions Ensuring 100% fulfillment of labour requirements on time Supporting clients and candidates with queries/requirements out of standard office hours Effectively managing clients accounts through times when issues occur The successful applicant will require the following: Concise and engaging communicator with excellent written communication skills Ability to maintain composure in a very busy and pressurised role Happy to work in a small office, small team environment Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to communicate in an honest and persuasive manner Administratively sound in both paperwork and computer systems Happy to work whatever hours is required to maintain excellent working relationships with our clients A full UK driving licence and own car Live within easy commuting distance of Durham Ability to think on your feet and have ambitions to develop a career We offer full training in the role and opportunity to develop a career in a fast moving and exciting industry. Our client is a market leading manufacturing buisness in Team Valley who are going through a period of planned expansion. The company are looking to recruit a trainee laboratory assistant to work on an ongoing basis, possibly becoming permanent The Trainee Lab Technician will be responsible for testing product in a laboratory environment to ensure the quality complies with exacting standards. A high level of attention to detail is required and a willing attitude to learn new processes. Previous lab work is not essential as full training can be provided. An interest in Chemistry and Science would be advantageous.along with good exam results at school in these subjects. Hours of work are 7.30am-4pm with a 1.30pm finish on a Friday. There may be some flexibility required on occasions in relation to start times. This is intially offered on an ongoing basis however the Company have a good track record of employing people on a permanent basis if the candidate is working well.

SG Personnel are working with a manufacturing business in Washington who are looking to recruit a material handler/FLT driver to work within their busy facility in Washington. The role will involve working within both manufacturing, goods in and despatch functions, with duties both in material handling and warehousing. Applicants must have a valid FLT counterbalance licence. An overhead crane licence would be advatageous. Working hours are weekly rotating between 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm.

SG Personnel are working with a large and established manufacturing business in Newcastle, who are looking to recruit an assembly operative within a metal manufacturing environment to join the business on a temporary to permanent basis. This will be working a 4 day dayshift only Monday to Thursday. Duties will include using hand and power tools to assemble attachments and fittings to fabricated or pressed metal components. Some form of previous assembly experience is essential along with a steady work history. Working hours are 7.30am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday. Pay rate is 13.15ph and the role would go permanent after 12 weeks.

SG Personnel are working with an excellent manufacturing company in Team Valley who are looking to recruit an assembly operative at least until the end of March, but this could possibly go longer. The job is working in their instrument department and will involve assembly of both mechanical and electrical components. Experience of reading drawings and soldering would be advantageous. Working hours are 7.30am to 4pm with a 1.30pm finish on a Friday.

SG Personnel; are working with a rapidly expanding company in Washington, who are looking to recruit a packing operative/general operative working in a light production environment. This will be long term work and the Company have a track record of transferring good workers to a permanent contract. We always receive positive feedback from people who are working at this company. Duties will include paletising and packing as well as inspection. Working hours are 7.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday. Rate of pay is £12.51ph.

SG Personnel are wokring with a large and established manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a machine operator on a temporary to permanent basis. This will be working on a dayshift only basis initially. Duties will include loading large press machines with steel and checking finished products. Training will be provided for the operation of the machines. Candidates will ideally have experience of working in similar roles within a heavy manufacturing environment. Working hours are 7.30am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday. On completion of 12 weeks and the offer of a permanent contract, there is a pay rise to over 13ph.
