OVERVIEW Very successful, well established Global Engineering Manufacturer are increasing their CNC Team with the addition of 3 CNC Setter/Turners. THIS VERY SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS OPERATES FROM A VERY MODERN FACILITY WITH STATE OF THE ART MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT. THERE ARE FURTHER GROWTH PLANS FOR 2026 AND THEIR INTERNAL PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR SUPERVISORY/LEADERSHIP ROLES WILL ALSO EXPAND! You must have at least 2 years of Turning experience and it would be an added advantage if you have some programming experience as well as setting. WHAT DOES A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE CNC SETTER LOOK LIKE - You will ensure that daily output targets are achieved Ensuring the quality of the products matches the engineering specifications Follow Health and Safety protocols at all times Ensure 5s examples are being set and maintained Assist in reducing machine down times within the setting process Working to high quality standards Work on your own initiative, but also being aware of having a strong team support around you You should be able to work from drawings and technical specifications WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL HELP YOU TO THRIVE IN THIS ROLE - 2 years plus Turning experience Programming experience would be an added bonus, but this is a skill that can be developed within the role Strong manual dexterity fit and healthy enough to move some of the heavier materials (up to 7.5kg) Experienced in working to Engineers drawings Some knowledge or experience of working any of the following CNC machines and equipment such as Citizen/Doosan, Fanuc, single and twin turret turning centres, 2 axis lathes, Milling centres, Citizen sliding head machines, Mori-say multi spindle turning centres.
