Job Title: Sales Manager - Participant Recruitment Location: London Bridge, SE1 Term: 6-month FTC Salary: Competitive + Benefits (Private Medical, Private Dental, Pension, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays & many more) Richmond Pharmacology are an early phase Clinical Research Organisation (CRO), where we are conducting pioneering early phase healthy participants and patient participant trials. Purpose Of The Job We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Sales Manager to lead, coach and grow a high-performing sales team. This individual will be responsible for standardising sales processes, developing actionable insights through CRM and dashboard tools, and driving performance through data-led decision making. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker from a Sales background (Telesales, Recruitment, Direct sales etc.) with a track record of implementing scalable solutions and managing teams of 10 or more. We must ensure that the trials are conducted in accordance with the protocol, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and other local regulatory requirements. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Sales Team Leadership: Lead, coach and develop a team of 10+ Sales professionals to meet and exceed performance targets. Sales Coaching & Development: Provide continuous support and structured coaching to improve individual and team effectiveness. Process Standardisation: Review and streamline sales workflows and methodologies to ensure consistency and efficiency across the team. CRM System Ownership: Oversee the setup, optimisation, and ongoing management of CRM tools to enhance lead management, customer tracking and reporting. Dashboard Design & Reporting: Lead the input, development, and interpretation of sales dashboards and reporting tools to track KPIs and guide strategic decisions. Data-Driven Strategy: Analyse sales data and market trends to inform decision making, identify growth opportunities and optimise performance. Systems Implementation: Assess current sales systems and processes; Design and implement new solutions that enhance productivity and scalability. Database Management: Maintain and utilise client and lead databases effectively to support targeted campaigns, segmentation and performance tracking. Skills and Experience: Proven experience managing a high performing Sales team. Strong background in sales coaching, performance management, and building scalable teams. Demonstrable experience in setting up and managing CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho). Advanced skills in dashboard development and data visualisation (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or Excel) Desirable. Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset. Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management abilities. Experience in standardising and improving sales processes. Richmond Pharmacology's service expansion and continuing growth has led us to extend further our Commercial Project Management team. Building on the successes of the past couple of years, the incoming Commercial Project Manager will work with a portfolio of existing clients and new business to flesh out proposals for new studies and interface with our commercial sponsors throughout the study timeframe to ensure smooth delivery. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager, preferably with a background in the biotech, pharmaceutical or clinical research industry. This is a client facing role so impeccable communication skills are essential. You will need to have a strong sense of customer service, but must be capable of negotiating sensibly, allowing you to navigate a clear course that benefits our sponsors and ourselves equally. While broad project management skills are required, the role will focus largely on resource planning and forecasting and a strong appreciation of finance and budgeting is essential. Key requirements: Excellent customer facing skills - customer service and negotiation Matrix management skills - accustomed to setting milestones and ensuring that these are met by all parties involved Monitor project expenditure, cash flow projections, budget variance, etc Communicate at planned, regular intervals with project sponsors and stakeholders and additionally as required to ensure delivery of project to time and budget Ensure all project milestones are met and report any slippage to senior management and sponsors as appropriate Engage in bid preparation and project pre-planning Ensure availability of resources internally, and source appropriate external resources where required This role will suit an experienced project manager. A background in the life sciences sector is not a must, although it will be useful, but prior experience in a commercial, client facing role is essential.
