THE JOB The purpose of the role is to provide estimates for new engineering product through the business using Lean and best practice methodology. You will provide quotes for machined parts, produce stage drawings for manufacture, prepare cost estimates for new business and support production with daily problem solving. THE CANDIDATE Ideally qualified to a minimum HNC standard in Mechanical Engineering you will have experience of CNC machining in a precision engineering environment and be able to program in both Fanuc and Heidenhain on both turning and milling machines ideally up to 5 axis. You should also be experienced in 3d modelling preferably with Solidworks. An exciting opportunity has arisen within this leading manufacturer of medical devices into the global healthcare industries for a Field Service Engineer to be based in the Chertsey, Sunbury on Thames, Kingston upon Thames, Cobham, Epsom, Weybridge, Leatherhead and surrounding areas of Surrey. THE ROLE - Field Service Engineer - Full Product Training Responsible to the UK Service Manager, The Medical Field Service Engineer will cover the Chertsey, Sunbury on Thames, Cobham, Epsom, Leatherhead areas and surrounding areas of Surrey. Your role will be to service and maintain a range of electro-mechanical equipment in hospitals across the this patch. Responsibilities include: Service of Medical Devices Fault Finding Equipment Maintenance Customer Service THE PERSON As the Field Service Engineer you will need experience of working on electronics or electro-mechanical equipment in either a service, installation, commissioning or maintenance engineering role, or working as an engineer or technician in the Forces (RAF, NAVY, REME). Ideally you will have a technical qualification such as an NVQ/ONC/HNC/HND e.t.c and a desire to learn and progress your career in service. Full training will be provided.
