THE JOB You will support manufacturing activities by directing best methods of manufacture and target areas of improvement using a Lean approach. You will lead technical discussions with customers, quote lead times and costs for jobs, support NPI projects, assist in CI activities and support the operational team including programming CNC Milling and Turning machines to meet customer demand. THE CANDIDATE Ideally with a minimum HNC in Mechanical Engineering, you will have significant machining experience especially with high precision milled and turned parts. Experience in Fanuc and Heidenhain languages is essential. You will also have experience of setting up production trials and be able to implement 5S activities and use Cad/Cam software. THE ROLE Reporting into the Engineering Manager it is the role of the Manufacturing Engineer to provide engineering support to production personnel to ensure all production output achieves the required quality standard. Other responsibilities include: Reduce lead times by improving efficiencies in manufacture. Develop and implement improved methods in manufacture to improve cycle-times work flow and margin cost. Check routings for repeat orders are relevant to batch size and latest manufacture methods. Support customer feedback process with root cause analysis and problem solving. To conduct engineering and manufacturing feasibility reviews and provide accurate estimated costs for new and modified product enquiries. Review costing of current jobs against real manufacturing information. THE ROLE Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Group Financial Controller will take full ownership of the finance function for the UK business and its 2 overseas subsidiaries. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Initially Financial Management & Reporting Manage the full finance function for the UK parent company and the US subsidiary and oversee financial activities the German subsidiary. THE PERSON In order to succeed in the role of Financial Controller you will need to be a driven financial professional with excellent technical skills and a professional qualification such as (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
