What You Will Do as an Associate Work predominantly as part of small deal teams to source, evaluate, and execute direct investments in private companies across a range of sectors and geographies. Be involved in all aspects of the transaction process, including modeling and valuation, taking ownership of some workstreams of the commercial and financial due diligence, preparing and presenting materials to the Investment Committee. Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with counterparties, including potential and existing investee companies alongside more senior investment officers as well as advisors and counterparties at other investing firms. Monitor certain of GIC's investments, which includes supporting GIC representatives at board meetings, tracking financial performance, interacting with management and other shareholders on a regular basis, developing exit plans. Take part in ad-hoc projects such as global sector reviews, market mapping of specific sub-sectors, strategic reviews. What Makes You a Successful Candidate? At least 1-3 years of work experience at a leading investment bank, consulting firm, in Private Equity, or equivalent relevant experience. Strong academic background or equivalent practical experience. Strong analytical skills and experience in building financial/operating models. Good written and verbal communication skills. A passion for understanding businesses and what drives business quality and value. Self-starter mindset with an ability to operate in a less structured environment. Fluent English.
