Property Litigation Lawyer - London A leading real estate litigation practice is seeking a highly experienced Property Litigation Lawyer to join its London office as a Senior or Principal Associate. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse caseload of complex property disputes while playing a key role in mentoring junior team members and driving business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Managing a stimulating mix of property consultancy and active litigation involving complex leasehold and freehold matters. - Advising commercial clients, including investors and developers, on contentious property issues, with opportunities to work on residential and agricultural disputes. - Collaborating closely with a large non-contentious real estate team, providing strategic advice to avoid disputes or secure commercial advantages. - Handling matters such as possession and forfeiture, lease renewals, rent reviews, adverse possession, rights of way, and option disputes. - Representing clients in the High Court, County Court, and tribunals, as well as exploring alternative dispute resolution methods, including arbitration and expert determination. - Engaging with clients across sectors such as government, higher education, healthcare, and charitable organisations. - Leading and supervising junior team members, as well as supporting partners on larger and more complex cases. - Contributing to marketing initiatives and delivering seminars to strengthen client relationships and raise the team's profile. Candidate Requirements: - At least 5 years PQE with a strong background in property litigation. - Proven expertise in handling complex leasehold and freehold disputes. - Commercially astute with excellent client advisory skills and the ability to offer pragmatic solutions. - Strong advocacy and negotiation skills, with experience in both court and alternative dispute resolution proceedings. - A proactive approach to business development and team leadership.
