SRE & DevOps Engineer - Inside IR36 - 6 months - Leeds - hybrid Working Are you a Site reliability engineer with extensive experience within DevOps? Would you like to be part of one of the UK's Largest transformation projects? Can you turn your hand to working on ensuring resilience, observability, and release automation? Have you worked on building tooling and Complex automation across multiple teams? Illuminet are currently working with a retail client whose role will entail operational work such as handling escalations, being on-call to respond to production issues, and fixing problems. Secondly your focus will be on automation. The expectation is that this will be done hands on writing code. As an SRE engineer you will be focused on building tooling and automation across the various parts of the E-commerce platform to ensure it maintains its service level objectives. The Role Debug production issues across services and technology stack. Consult on new cloud patterns; improving system resilience, performance and stability. Support Prod deployments, pipeline engineering and maintenance & build failures (squads responsible for releasing their own code/packages) Platform Ops - L2 quick fixes (restart env/jobs, check monitoring dashboard, reset access etc) Monitoring & Observability - Configure & extend monitoring, egress/ingress data lake (consolidation of Azure Integration Services, 3rd party events), Business Monitoring Automation & Self-healing (incl. event based triggers) Ensuring consistency of technology usage across a programme, by continuously reviewing existing toolsets and code and suggesting re-use of components. Ensuring system SLOs/SLis and performance are monitored and alerted on. About You Software engineering background Hands-on experience designing, building, delivering and operating production-grade software at scale Experience with troubleshooting distributed systems Strong opinions informed by experience of continuous delivery, distributed architectures, testing, everything-as-code, containerisation, orchestration, cloud services and incident response Comfortable having in-depth discussions, troubleshooting and debugging systems and reading/writing code Experience working within an Agile environment Experience with enterprise APM monitoring tools Working knowledge of system architectures and networking Salesforce experience Azure cloud experience Experience with CI-CD tooling eg code quality, security, accessibility, testing framework integration Worked as DevOps/SRE engineer The role is flexible with working locations, but the successful applicant must be prepared to go to the client's head office 2-3 times a month.

Contract ServiceNow Program Manager - 6 months - Inside IR35 The ServiceNow Program Manager will support our client, a large scale retailer to establish a ServiceNow Program and lead technical deliverables with the assistance of the Business Engagement and Delivery Lead. They will work with other departments to make sure all projects are running well following the Centre Of Excellence Policies and Standards. Part of the key deliverables is to establish the right level of governance and control and share program/projects updates to key stakeholders and generate the ServiceNow Strategic Roadmap. Role Responsibilities: Lead and manage the deliverables of ServiceNow professionals and offers leadership, direction and program governance for ServiceNow projects. Supports the ServiceNow Centre of Excellence and Innovation team in creation/maintenance of ServiceNow High quality documents (MVP Policy, Operating Model, Governance Board and Golden Rules); Leading ServiceNow Governance Boards and assist board chair to track meeting actions items; Oversee the day to day ServiceNow delivery for multiple ServiceNow managed services teams, to meet or project schedule/milestones, key performance indicators (KPIs) and other business objectives related to project timeliness, service quality and efficiency; Supports the definition of done and the scope definition for all ServiceNow deliverables; Work with ServiceNow Platform and product teams to apply CoEI Standards and Polices in all ServiceNow projects; Work with partners and internal teams to identify Service and Integration Requirements to successfully onboard TSAs in a fresh instance. Contract Cutover Manager - 6 months - Inside IR35 As the Cutover manager, you will be responsible for coordinating with the project managers for all areas to ensure a cutover plan is built, maintained, and agreed upon by all parties and also for the coordination and management of the Cutover. You will manage all relevant parties to align with the cutover plan whilst developing a detailed cut-over checklist and project plan. Other responsibilities would include detailed project management of the cut-over and conversion deliverables to the new system, resolving discrepancies or process issues related to cut-over. The Cutover Manager will work with all towers and functional areas to ensure a robust cutover plan is built. They will support the mock cutover activities ensuring any risks and issues are identified and managed. They will own the cutover and the management of the necessary resources to ensure a smooth transition into Production. Role Responsibilities: Plans the human and physical resources required for cut-over activities. Provides cut-over status reporting to project leadership and key stakeholders involved in the coordination of Legacy shut down activities before application activation Works closely with the work-groups to document the cut-over plan for each application Alignment with business implementation partners to agree on business calming Ramp Down = stopping operations Ramp Up = Starting operations In a controlled way Communications and stakeholder planning with customers, colleagues, suppliers, tech vendors in support of cutover Strong alignment or creation of hyper-care approach Strong alignment and coordination of Service transition plan Data validation and reconciliation process execution and sign off Coordination with all technical and business teams to create a cutover plan Detailed tracking and status reporting of cutover plan Identification and tracking of all key rollback decision points and criteria to be measured Definition of rollback plan and all Dress rehearsal execution of rollback plan Dress rehearsal execution and updating of the cutover plan Restore from back up Run books and test About You: Previous experienced Cutover Manager capacity, ideally on SAP Programmes Strong communication and management skills Good technology knowledge Ability to effectively engage and influence globally We are able to offer a competitive day rate for this opportunity, inside IR35 and will be looking for someone to work on a Hybrid basis with weekly visits to our clients site in Leeds.
