Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour. Our client has recently restructured the Propulsion CAE team in particular the Virtual Build Factory team. The area is currently inventing and developing its processes to improve speed & quality. The successful candidate will be required to detect opportunities and develop the code to automate its process to unleash the efficiency required from the team. The role is multidisciplinary as it involves working on-cycle and off-cycle programmes primarily developing the code but working closely with Development engineers, analysts and model builders. The individual will be responsible for the following: Determine the automation and optimisation requirements, develop code, metrics and targets. Code/program to convert the manual effort into automation Develop programming code to automate all manual processes to reduce time and improve quality. Support methods reviews as appropriate contributing ideas. Develop and deliver new process training material. Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested. Creation of user guides and manuals to the train CAE team members. In this multi-skilled role, you will have a fantastic opportunity to join a highly skilled, dynamic facilities and maintenance team based at the Advanced Propulsion Research laboratory (APRL) at University of Warwick. You'll deliver excellence by providing engineering maintenance support to Engine and Vehicle test assets and equipment. Our test technologies include dynamometers, HVAC systems, fluid and gas conditioning and supply systems, safety critical monitoring systems and power distribution. Roles and Responsibilities: Serve as a Business Analyst supporting the Engineering Operations Factory Office, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational objectives. Coordinate and execute key operational processes to enable the Factory Office team to meet performance and efficiency targets. Collaborate with functional teams to gather and validate requirements, including obtaining supplier quotations, initiating procurement requests via the SAP system, and ensuring accurate and timely submission of data to the central approval system. Partner with Finance to facilitate the approval of various expenditure types, ensuring compliance with internal controls and budgetary guidelines. Provide process guidance and support to functional team members, particularly in navigating recruitment and expenditure approval workflows. Deliver regular reporting, including weekly and monthly updates, to track progress against operational and financial goals. They will need to provide their partner with Figma source files containing components and layouts that can be used to produce further screens/states/features in the HMI alongside guidelines and animations detailing how things should look/work. They are looking for someone who primarily can work in After Effects stitching together 2D assets created in Figma and 3D assets created in Blender to create these animations. You will work closely with the Quality Manager at their Coventry site and will be responsible for inspecting incoming components from their suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards.
