Collaborating effectively to deliver complex piping and cabling systems. Translate engineering documents into fabrication plans, selecting necessary tools and equipment. Cut, shape, and assemble steel plates and components. Install and join plate and structural materials. Perform burning, grinding, and other fabrication tasks. Complete tasks set by supervisors and ensure work meets or exceeds contract specifications. Proven Experience: Experience using fabrication drawings to develop a fabrication plan and selecting the tools and equipment required to complete the task. Plating experience using tools and equipment to cut prepare shape, fabricate and assemble plate and steelwork Qualifications Must hold a full Level 3 apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 Diploma in in Plating, Fabrication, Welding, Structural Steelwork or Shipbuilding, or ACE Card - Level 3 in Plating Must have a CCNSG Safety Passport Pay & Benefits £28.18 per hour (Grade 5) - Plater OT 1.4 for hours worked over 38 during the week and the first 4 hours on Saturday OT 1.8 for remaining hours on Saturday and all hours Sunday 10-hour shifts - Rotation: 11 days on / 3 days off Accommodation allowance: £355.67 per week Job Type: Permanent

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR NEWBRIDGE PERMANENT 6.45AM - 17.00PM MON TO THURS COMPETITIVE SALARY PLUS PRORGESSION OPPORTUNITIES RSW are looking to recruit a Production Supervisor for their client, a specialist manufacturer based in Newbridge. The successful candidate will have approx. 30 direct reports. Previous supervisory/line leader experience in a manufacturing environment is essential. Main Purpose of Role Enact the direction/plan given by the company in achieving the following:- utilisation above 80%, no aged orders, no rejects and delivery on time and in full. Outcomes of Role Achieve & report on daily manufacturing output, inclusive of manpower utilisation and quality. Generate, document and deploy continuous improvement activities throughout the manufacturing area so as to achieve annual company objectives and goals. Develop the manufacturing area to aspire to the highest levels of housekeeping and visual control. Satisfied Internal and External Customers Responsibilities Motivate and upskill Cell leader, Utility staff and production operators. Ensure that all relevant Health and Safety practices are adhered to by promoting a safe working environment Monitor utilisation and performance of the section to ensure company objectives are met Become conversant with the repair database and quality feedback systems to ensure sections quality targets are achieved and maintained. Manage section output requirements on a daily, weekly, monthly basis in line with the production plan for that section. Reduce material wastage and minimise loss Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the section is at the required standard. Ensue the appropriate cross training of operators within the cells, targeting to complete matrix for all operators within the section. Minimising the risk of aged orders by forward planning and control of quality. Identify future training needs. Liaise with customers both on and off site where required. Prepare and present information (eg Quality meeting) where required. Undertake Line Management responsibility to ensure formal performance planning reviews are conducted when applicable Ensure that all company operating values and compliance procedures are adhered to at all times, including quality management, health and safety, legal stipulation, environmental policies and general duty of care. Any other duties deemed necessary. Previous experience in a manufacturing / aerospace / automotive industry Experience in working in a medium/high volume production environment Understanding of quality systems and completing quality checks/gauging Attention to detail is essential Able to work with minimal supervision. Duties Operate CNC milling machines.
