Monitor project costs and provide detailed commercial reporting to Project Managers and senior stakeholders. Lead and participate in interim commercial meetings with clients and internal project teams. Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, payment certificates, and final accounts. Ensure payments are processed in accordance with subcontract agreements, procurement terms, and retention provisions. Administer contractual obligations and support the successful commercial delivery of projects. Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment, ensuring accurate inclusion of remeasurements, variations, dayworks, site changes, and contractual claims. Identify and manage labour and material cost escalations where applicable. Proactively identify commercial risks and escalate issues to senior management as required. Work closely with Planning Engineers to ensure progress reporting accurately reflects project performance. Manage subcontractor remeasurement activities and the valuation of contract works. Cost, negotiate, and agree site changes, variation orders, and dayworks. Maintain accurate commercial records and supporting documentation to assist with cost control, reporting, and claims management. Support the preparation and submission of interim and final accounts in accordance with contractual requirements. Negotiate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to achieve positive commercial outcomes. Ensure compliance with information security policies and project governance requirements. About You To be successful in this role, you'll be commercially driven, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment. You'll ideally have: A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline. Experience working on electrical infrastructure, HV, substation, power, utilities, energy, or renewables projects. Understanding of contract administration, commercial management, and cost control processes. Experience managing subcontractor accounts, valuations, and final accounts. Strong knowledge of contract conditions and their practical application. Experience preparing applications for payment, variations, claims, and commercial reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
