We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School in the OL16 area of Rochdale. This role will be to start as soon as possible after clearance and safeguarding processes have been completed. The school are seeking to appoint a Primary Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 class so knowledge of phonics is preferable. The successful candidate would need to be available to commit to the role as we are incredibly busy with Teaching Assistant roles at the moment. The school has a specialist provision catering for children aged 3-16 years. All pupils have an education, health and care plan (EHCP) that reflects their complex learning and/or medical needs. The school provides students with a calm, safe and supportive learning environment in which they can thrive. As a Teaching Assistant you will be required to work closely with the Classroom Teacher to provide a positive and encouraging classroom environment. You will support pupils with a range of abilities across a variety of subjects, ensuring students are engaged in lessons, setting aspirational targets for pupils learning and for their involvement in wider school life and the community.
