Salary: £165 per day Job Type: Full-time, Temp to perm Contract length: 12 months We are currently supporting a lovely Primary School based in Westminster who are looking to recruit a Year 6 Teacher to join their team soon. Responsibilities The ideal Year 6 Teacher for this position will be someone who is enthusiastic, passionate, and willing to get involved in the community of this school. The Year 6 Teacher hired for this role must maintain high quality of teaching to ensure pupils are given the best chance to achieve targets. Qualifications/Experience The Year 6 Teacher chosen for this role will need knowledge of national curriculum requirements at KS3/KS4 This school is looking for an Year 6 Teacher with at least some experience in a UK classroom, and will only consider applicants with recognised Teaching qualifications and UK QTS. Key Job Info • Experience of working with SEN student's desirable • Proven ability to support students 1:1 and in small groups • Awareness of working with students with Autism and Asperger's desirable • Ability to work with non-verbal student's desirable School Info • A lovely Secondary special school with dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced teachers and teaching assistants, dedicated in ensuring every child succeeds, no matter their ability • Medium sized special school aged 11-19 catering for students with Autism or Asperger's • The school has a strong Senior Leadership Team who have extensive experience and are very supportive with transitioning overseas' trained teachers to the UK curriculum • Additional training and mentoring programmes are easily accessible with sessions running weekly. With this in place, there are great opportunities for career progression The ideal candidate will have the vision, energy and drive to work with young people, raise awareness of their achievements and contribute to general school life.
