Grazing/Forage Based Dairy Business on the Somerset/ Wiltshire Border We currently have a superb opportunity for someone to join the management team on a very successful, well established, and well invested dairy business. The herd is split block calved in two 12-week blocks, with 50% in the spring and autumn. The cows can be housed in spacious modern sand bedded cubicles with very easy passage scraping and feed access. The grazing platform is 200Ha and has been set up with all the necessary infrastructure to include well maintained tracks, mains electric fencing, multiple entry and exit points and good water supply. Weekly grass measurements and Agrinet are used for optimising milk from forage. The most recent investment, last year, was the installation of a 70-point Waikato rotary parlour with associated cattle handling facilities.
