The Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and coordination of electronic security and smart building systems, including CCTV, access control, and integrated building technologies. The role involves supporting tender submissions, engaging directly with clients, and ensuring solutions meet technical, operational, and commercial requirements. Key Responsibilities System Design & Engineering - Design electronic security systems including CCTV, access control, intruder detection, and related infrastructure Develop integrated smart building solutions, incorporating security, ICT, and building management systems Produce detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, schematics, and system architectures Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices Support value engineering and technical optimisation of solutions Tenders & Proposals - Provide technical input for tenders, bids, and proposals Prepare technical descriptions, system designs, and equipment schedules for submissions Support pricing and scope definition in collaboration with commercial and project teams Review client specifications and translate requirements into compliant technical solutions Project Support - Provide engineering support during project delivery, installation, and commissioning phases Review installation drawings and technical submittals Assist with system testing, commissioning strategies, and handover documentation Technical Skills - Strong knowledge of CCTV systems, access control, and electronic security technologies Experience with smart buildings and integrated systems (security, ICT, BMS, PSIM, etc.) Understanding of networking principles (IP-based systems, VLANs, PoE, cybersecurity basics) Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings and specifications The role will be 2/3 days in the office in Central London & the rest remote

This leading regional fire and security solutions provider is seeking an experienced Lead Fire & Security Engineer to oversee installation, servicing, and maintenance across Cambridgeshire and the wider East Anglia region. This role suits a senior engineer ready to step up, mentor others, and take ownership of technical delivery on a variety of commercial, healthcare, high security and high-end residential premises. Applicants for this role will need excellent technical skills covering fire detection, CCTV, access control and intruder detection systems, being able to service, maintain, install and commission systems. Responsibilities include taking the lead on jobs, being the senior point of contact on site, ensuring high standards of work and compliance to all relevant standards (BS5839, BS5266, NSI, FIA etc.) and providing technical support and guidance to other engineers and customers. This exciting opportunity comes with a basic salary to 50,000 plus vehicle, overtime and package.

Primarily based from home manage remote teams of CAD designers in the UK and overseas working on Enterprise level security systems for corporate global clients. Candidates must be proficient users of AutoCAD, have experience of managing remote teams, be familiar with electronic security systems and ideally have experience with C Cure, Lenel or Genetic system designs. Able to reach the London office on a weekly basis. London/Hybrid - Basic Neg min 65k +

To develop and lead a small new risk and threat led function within this well established security design consultancy. Conduct SNA, SABRE and Threat & Risk studies, develop new opportunities, build relations with Police DOCO and ALOs, provide governance over system designs relating to risk. Candidates must, have proven experience in security risk management and risk led security design in the built environment, ability to write and present complex risk and design concepts clearly to clients and the design team, have good understanding of counter-terror design principles such as Secure by Design and CPTED.
