This is a hands-on position, covering full lifecycle hardware development from concept to production, with a focus on high-quality, reliable solutions for integration into customer devices. Key Responsibilities Lead hardware design projects, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and placement reviews. Create and review engineering and manufacturing documentation. Conduct product verification and validation, including functional and parametric testing. Support manufacturing and quality control activities. Provide consultancy services to review and enhance customer-supplied designs. Assist in regulatory compliance testing. Skills & Experience PSU design (DC-DC and linear regulators) up to 10W. Strong interface knowledge: RS232, RS4xx, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, USB3, PCI-e. Radio technologies: Bluetooth, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, cellular modems (3/4/5G), etc. High-speed and high-frequency PCB layout techniques. Design for manufacture experience. This is a hands-on role within a small, experienced team where engineers work directly on systems that impact live trading outcomes. The Role You will be responsible for designing, building and optimising exchange connectivity across multiple venues, with a strong focus on crypto markets. Key responsibilities include: Developing ultra-low latency Java components Managing FIX protocol sessions and order flow Integrating and optimising crypto exchange APIs using REST and WebSocket Handling real-time JSON market data feeds Improving performance and reducing latency across exchange connections Supporting and enhancing live trading systems Each exchange has its own architecture, API behaviour and performance characteristics.
