Overview Hargreaves Lansdown is going through an exciting period of growth and change. Our procurement team are pivotal in this transformation and are looking for an IT Procurement Officer to join the team. You will seek commercial opportunities within the IT function's 3rd party expenditure base. This will be a significant contributor to the committed savings targets within the HL strategy. This is a great opportunity for you to bring your own ideas and shape the way we procure as we build new relationships with Fintech and cloud-based providers. Working pattern We are looking for an IT Procurement Officer to join our procurement team, based in Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a hybrid flexible working pattern to enable you the option of working from home and coming into the office. IT Procurement Officer Role Accountabilities To engage with stakeholders across the IT functions to understand requirements for third party suppliers. To deliver commercial value and mitigate 3rd party risks through effective sourcing practices. To lead end to end sourcing activity including sourcing plans, tenders, complex supplier negotiations and implement contract arrangements. To manage all activity in line with HL standards and operating standards within a regulated industry. To support all commercial aspects of implementation including on boarding and exit of suppliers aligned with strategy. IT Procurement Officer Skills and Experience Experience of working in a regulated/financial services industry will be supportive to your success for this role. Particularly with a specialism in IT/ digital/ tech. Ability to work, and be resilient, in a fast paced and changeable environment. Experienced in contract negotiations and achieving contractual value An effective and engaging communicator, able to present complex information in simple context, adapting your style to suit your audience Accomplished in forging effective relationships at all levels, skilled at influencing, negotiating and managing challenging conversations with ease Able to work in a team or alone and effectively collaborate to achieve common goals plus the ability to self-manage competing workloads & effectively prioritise Regularly looking to continually improve your own, and the wider team's performance, actively promoting change and continuous improvement. Understanding of EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing Commitment to continual professional development to complement existing relevant qualifications (e.g. CIPS) Interview Process This will be a 1-2 stage competency based interview process.
