Photography Teacher (Art Specialist) £150 - £220 per day St Neots Are you a visual storyteller who can teach students to see the world through a different lens? Can you balance the technical precision of aperture and shutter speed with the creative freedom of conceptual photography? We are urgently seeking a Qualified Art Teacher specialising in Photography for an immediate start at a high-achieving secondary school in St Neots . This is a full-time, long-term role where you will lead the Photography department, inspiring Key Stage 4 and 5 students to develop their portfolios and master both digital and traditional techniques. Your Responsibilities Curriculum Delivery: Plan and teach engaging lessons across GCSE and A-Level Photography, covering everything from the basics of composition to advanced digital manipulation. Technical Instruction: Guide students in the use of DSLR cameras, studio lighting, and post-processing software such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom . Portfolio Development: Provide high-quality feedback to help students refine their coursework, ensuring they meet the assessment objectives for exam boards like AQA or OCR. Studio Management: Maintain a professional and safe working environment in the photography studio and darkroom (if applicable), managing equipment and resources effectively. Artistic Context: Teach the history of photography and contemporary practices, encouraging students to analyse the work of established photographers to inform their own projects. Exhibition Leadership: Coordinate internal and external displays of student work, celebrating their achievements and raising the profile of the arts within the school.
